Day three of the Big SEKI Loop involved leaving Simpson Meadow ,and heading into the Middle Fork of the Kings River and eventually intersecting the John Muir Trail. This actually ended up being one of my favorite days of the trip, the Middle Fork Trail is lightly used - I did not see anyone except two rangers. The canyon scenery is sublime Sierra classic of soaring grey walls and a crystal clear river.
Photo taken during Day 3 of my Big Sequoia/Kings Canyon Loop. This was about a 300km/180 mile loop through various trails and off trail rambling in the Sierra Mountains of two National Parks. It included elements of the PCT, High Sierra Trail and John Muir Trail with less crowds.

I visited the Simpson's movie site and they had a avatar creator! I don't think it looks like me at all, but maybe I will have more time to goof with it later on from home.

I had a fantastic evening on Thursday 15th December 2022 watching The Magpie Arc in concert at Sheffield University’s Firth Hall. The Magpie Arc are a Sheffield-Scottish folk rock supergroup! They comprise Nancy Kerr on vocals and fiddle, Martin Simpson on lead guitar and vocals, Findlay Napier on guitars and vocals, Alex Hunter on bass, and Tom A Wright on drums and vocals, with the addition of James Fagan and for one night only, the legendary Maddy Prior of Steeleye Span! What a lineup. Nancy, James and Maddy also performed the support set which was a treat. Check them out if you can, their debut album “Glamour In The Grey” was released in November 2022.
haha wow... this is what you get when you mix a group of fifteen year old girls, a hot day, and a tad too much gatorade..

Even though I hardly ever watch the Simpsons any more, I figured I should jump on the bandwagon and create an avatar, since my username is a combination Simpsons/Star Wars reference (nerdy enough for ya?)
