What are we talkin’ about, man? We’re talkin’ “Simpson Comics”, the suspended version of the animated television series. We’re talkin’ cool, man!
All of the outrageous satire and slapstick that you love (or hate) on the cartoons are in these books, true to the bongo style of Groening’s creations. These comics are also “flip-books”. Turn them over for a second “front” cover and story.
In the first issue, “Bart Simpson’s Creepy Crawly Tales” pokes fun at horror comics and horrible comic book collectors. In the second flip-book, “Patty and Selma’s Ill-Fated Romance Comics” laughs at love comics.
The best story is “Cool Hand Bart” in the second issue. Principal Skinner hauls Bart and buddies into the Scared Sit-less Program – a trip to prison. Of course, what is meant to frighten Bart into a mindlessly obedient adult has the opposite effect … until Sideshow Bob scares Bart silly. Sideshow wants the boy dead.
As is done on television, this episode quickly becomes a parody of prison movies. Writer, Steve Vance, shoots holes in all of the clichés inherent in these movies, and hobbles Bart, chained to Sideshow, into a swamp. Even if readers know nothing about prison films these situations are still fun and funny, the mark of terrific writing.
Three spin-off comics from the television series are now available. “Itchy and Scratchy Comics”, “Radioactive Man”, and “Bartman” may be as wildly original, entertaining, and funny. If so, they will also be … highly recommended!
For this stark, spellbinding episode of Room 205, director Luis Farfan worked closely with director of photography Conor Simpson, set designer Tamarra Younis, editor Forrest Borie and sound engineer Jon Gilbert to capture the band's mesmerizing live performance while crafting a world of abstract symbols, ambient sounds and cinematic contrasts, entirely elegant and arresting in their own right.

Los Angeles based artist Camella Lobo has been quietly releasing music under the moniker Tropic Of Cancer since 2009. Drenched in romanticism and soaked in themes of solitude, mortality and love, her music forms a strangely hypnotic connection with its listener. Lobo’s majestic vocals, warmly cradled by waves of ascending synths, plangent guitar, and foreboding beats, summon the listener into a world of dark decadence and delicate beauty. Formerly a duo with minimal electronic artist, Silent Servant, Lobo has enlisted the assistance of Taylor Burch to help execute her music in a live setting.

Simpson es uno de esos restaurantes que, cuando uno cuenta lo que ha comido y lo que ha pagado por ello, puede generar reacciones más o menos airadas del tipo ¡menudo sablazo! o ¡qué caro!, yo conozco uno donde por menos de la mitad…….. Es cierto que pagar 100€ por una ensaladilla, unas bravas, unas sardinas, una hamburguesa más dos postres y una botella de vino joven puede parecer objetivamente caro y, la verdad es que aquí no venden barato ni tampoco regalan nada, pero también hay que tener presente el factor subjetivo: ¡qué ensaladilla!, ¡qué sardinas!, ¡qué hamburguesa! o ¡qué postres!......... Y es que en la cocina de esta casa brillan la calidad y el buen hacer y no conocemos ningún otro restaurante donde se coma tan nítido y tan bien partiendo de un planteamiento tan sencillo.
En un tranquilo mediodía de principios del verano disfrutamos de la comida (mucho), del entorno y del fresco aire marino que se respira en su ventilada y bien acondicionada terraza junto al mar. Pagamos, sí, incluso algo más de lo deseable, pero ¡qué leches!, esto es gastronomía, una actividad de ocio, y cuando uno se divierte el precio pierde relevancia.
Lo mejor: la calidad y personalidad de su cocina casera
Lo peor: el precio del vino
Mejorable: la escasa cantidad de té para infusionar; la base licuada de aguacate en la ensaladilla
Recomendado: dejarse aconsejar aunque todo lo que hay en la carta tiene su punto; pedir la carta de vinos o asegurarse del precio del vino que ofrezcan
Platos recomendados: los pies de cerdo; las sardinas; la hamburguesa de atún; la delicia de mermelada de tomate con gorgonzola y foie; el risotto al ajillo; los canelones de pato; el flan de queso fresco; el cremoso de queso fresco a la naranja y limón; el semifrío de chocolate

#vintage Simpson model 260 Volt Ohm Meter #tools
Recently US Customs confiscated a shipment of Sparkfun multimeters for trademark infringement. FLUKE has a trademark on the yellow color. I have one of the Sparkfun meters, a FLUKE 110 and two others. A Radio Shack MICRONTA and a classic Simpson model 260.
FLUKE worked with Sparkfun and gave them FLUKE meters to replace the meters that had been taken by Customs inspectors. Sparkfun has a plan to donate those meters for education purposes.
The one feature that FLUKE has that the others don’t is an automatic off switch which saves the batteries.
