Simpson era uns dels nostres restaurants de referència al Baix Empordà per àpats informals de qualitat, fins que al 2015 els seus responsables (la Maribel i el Félix) van decidir tancar el seu veterà establiment de la platja de Llafranc per iniciar un estrany projecte a Platja d’Aro (¡!) al que mai ens hem decidit a anar ☹. Ens van deixar orfes i enyorats de la senzillesa formal amb brillants resultats en gairebé tota la seva oferta sòlida.
Però bé, aquest passat estiu ens vam assabentar de la recuperació de la marca Simpson, ara formant part de les instal·lacions del petit i exclusiu Hotel Mas Ses Vinyes, un vell conegut que fins aleshores comptava amb un restaurant que, al nostre parer, no estava a l’alçada i que ara podrà presumir d’una aposta gastronòmica més solvent i acurada. Si més no, això esperàvem.
Doncs bé, fins allà ens vam dirigir a la primera oportunitat, un tranquil migdia feiner de finals de l’estiu, i vam poder comprovar que, per sort, gairebé res ha canviat al nou Simpson respecte l'anterior. En Fèlix segueix sent l’amfitrió directe, cortès i còmplice de sempre. I la cuina, en mans de la infal·lible Maribel, manté gairebé inalterable la carta de l’anterior etapa, que és farcida de plats aparentment senzills però mostrant una proposta enginyosa, vital, estimulant i molt saborosa que no passa desapercebuda. La calma i placidesa de l’entorn i unes instal·lacions amplies i ben condicionades auguren exitoses experiències a tots aquells que decideixin acostar-se fins allà. Per molts anys!
El que més ens va agradar: l’entorn; la qualitat de la cuina i del conjunt
El que menys ens va agradar: que variessin el format i presentació del plat de foie, gorgonzola i melmelada de tomàquet
El que recomanem: acostar-s’hi si el que es vol es gaudir d’una cuina senzilla ben feta i servida en un espai tranquil i agradable

This bust of O.J. Simpson was actually stolen from the Pro Football Hall of Fame during his trial for the murder of his wife and her friend in 1995. It was left by the side of the highway, found and then returned.
Simpsons love KFC and will even steal their food!
I personally don't like KFC. Something is very wrong with that food there. But my Brother does so I took the Figurines. :D

I bought 4 cakes so that i just got the Simpsons mug.
however i won't go to the movies.
I'm very disappointed that the voice actors in Japanese-dubbed version are changed.
I normally prefer original language but as for the Simpsons,
Japanese-dubbed version is more familiar than original one with me.
in fact,those voice actors are doing good work not to ruin the original image...i love it.
so i'm looking forward to come out on DVD...it seemes dubbed by original voice actors in Japanese.

Simpson's in the Strand is just east of the Savoy Hotel, and is part of Savoy Buildings. This establishment was founded in 1828 as a ‘smoking room’, but quickly became one of London’s leading restaurants, famous for its traditional English fare. In 1898, D’Oyly Carte acquired the restaurant. Its colourful entrance has tiles depicting part of a chess board with chess pieces above the revolving door. This motif alludes to the restaurant’s importance in British chess in the 19th century. Brass plates wrapped around pillars by the entrance bear the words “Simpson’s Divan Tavern”. This recalls the existence on this spot of ‘Samuel Reiss’s Grand Cigar Divan’, which opened in 1828 on the site of the former 18th century ‘Fountain Tavern’. This old inn, where the political opponents of Sir Robert Walpole (in office between 1727 and 1740) met, is commemorated by a plaque on the west side of the main entrance to Savoy Buildings.

Aye, Carumba! Matt Groening and Chief Wiggum’s goal is “To change you from the mindless, rebellious kids of today into the mindlessly obedient adults of tomorrow!”
What are we talkin’ about, man? We’re talkin’ “Simpson Comics”, the suspended version of the animated television series. We’re talkin’ cool, man!
All of the outrageous satire and slapstick that you love (or hate) on the cartoons are in these books, true to the bongo style of Groening’s creations. These comics are also “flip-books”. Turn them over for a second “front” cover and story.
In the first issue, “Bart Simpson’s Creepy Crawly Tales” pokes fun at horror comics and horrible comic book collectors. In the second flip-book, “Patty and Selma’s Ill-Fated Romance Comics” laughs at love comics.
The best story is “Cool Hand Bart” in the second issue. Principal Skinner hauls Bart and buddies into the Scared Sit-less Program – a trip to prison. Of course, what is meant to frighten Bart into a mindlessly obedient adult has the opposite effect … until Sideshow Bob scares Bart silly. Sideshow wants the boy dead.
As is done on television, this episode quickly becomes a parody of prison movies. Writer, Steve Vance, shoots holes in all of the clichés inherent in these movies, and hobbles Bart, chained to Sideshow, into a swamp. Even if readers know nothing about prison films these situations are still fun and funny, the mark of terrific writing.
Three spin-off comics from the television series are now available. “Itchy and Scratchy Comics”, “Radioactive Man”, and “Bartman” may be as wildly original, entertaining, and funny. If so, they will also be … highly recommended!

Los Angeles based artist Camella Lobo has been quietly releasing music under the moniker Tropic Of Cancer since 2009.
