This quilt is being made for my mom, she loves batiks and she has the perfect place for a quilt in these colors in her house. Hopefully this one will be done in the next couple of days, I am almost finished with the blocks.
This is a photo whose composition I liked but the detail was too much and then I found Topaz Simplify and it helps to isolate my intention a good deal.

Kaili (Simplified Chinese: 凯里市) is a city in Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou province, China. It is the center of Miao culture, hosting more than 120 festivals every year. Kaili has a population of 50,000 and is a major producer of rice.

ODC - Weeds - 6 Nov. I often like what people call weeds. We are past the growing season and not many weeds are to be found. This patch of moss and tiny plants was insisting on the right to live at the corner of a walkway. I used the Topaz Simplify Color Sketch filter to bring a bit more zip to the shot.

Today's shot is a real closeup of a little stem with three tiny leaves left on it. I used a simplify filter to give it more of a painting look. The background is snow and a house in shadow.

Everything from accessibility and structure to graphics and content was reworked to provide customers, partners and employees a more user-friendly web experience. I worked on this project with Grid4's in-house marketing team to develop the design, functionality and message of the new site.

The White Cloud Temple or the Monastery of the White Clouds (simplified Chinese: 白云观; traditional Chinese: 白雲觀; pinyin: Bái Yún Gùan; literally "White Cloud See") is a Daoist temple located in Beijing, China. It is one of "The Three Great Ancestral Courts" of the Complete Perfection School of Taoism, and is titled "The First Temple under Heaven".
I gave up my habit of writing and leaving endless notes for myself on the counter. I went digital. I simplified my mind, and to honour the moment I collected and cut up all my past notes into tiny pieces and collaged some of them here :-)
