During my time working on-site for Microsoft’s SMSGR international training, I had the chance to witness the authenticity of this family-run establishment. Everything at Cascina Santa Brera is created from scratch, with the farm providing a wealth of ingredients used in delicious Lombard dishes that are prepared by the nonna herself. The slow-food philosophy that governs the space focuses on seasonal, organic, and homemade creations—from fresh vegetables and herbs to bread and pasta.
The dog, with its endearing underbite, embodies the essence of the place: unpretentious, natural, and brimming with character. Just as the farm nurtures the food and the community, this moment of pure innocence and charm invites reflection on the simple joys of life, unpolished and true to nature. This image is more than just a snapshot; it is a reminder of the warmth and generosity of a countryside family, their love for the land, and their welcoming spirit.
