My kids loved riding their bikes up and down our closed road during the jubillee street party. They enjoyed the freedom and not having to worry about the usual traffic.

May 2010 - Doorstop from Simple Sewing, by Lotta Jansdotter. Carousel fabric from a friend's stash. Filled with cherry pits, lavender and some juniper wood. For Eliza's room....she's already thought of alternative uses beyond door-stopping. :-)
Testing color rendition with studio strobe gelled to 5000K (using Rosco CalColor gels). The color space used was Identity Color Space (from ninedegreesbelow.com).
Adobe LR converted it to it's own color space upon import.
This is the top of my piano these days. It looks as if I am creating an army.
Although, an army comprised largely of the limbless probably doesn't look too intimidating...

OK, I am putting together a simple how-to for the Window Star fun! This is an even easier version than the one I found online. I made it simpler because I was using a kind of mulberry paper, and wanted the light to show through as much as possible.
And here is the recipe to keep your iPhone nice and comfy:
Cast on 40 sts on 2 mm (US0) needles using some left over sockyarn (400y/100gram) using this method.
Continue in stockinette st for 12 cm (4 6/8"). Change to 1x1 rib and continue for 2 cm (6/8"). Cast off
