Here you see a "pit limiter" button from a formula 1 simulation steering wheel of mine.
"pitting" or "pits" is a part of the race where you can swap your tyres or make other necessary repairs for your car. In formula 1, cars are well capable of speeding over 300km/hr but the speed should be limited in pit lane as low as 60km/hr due to safety precautions. while a modern formula 1 car is designed to accelerate to tremendous speeds in a matter of seconds, driver should utilize this button to tame the car.
It may not be important to know but the blurred red area is a part of the formula 1 logo.
