At the head of Florida's Silver River, the Silver Springs depot is approached by a steamboat ca. 1887. The building is regarded as a Union Station because its purpose is to serve both a steamboat line and a railroad, in this case the rail line owned by the Florida Railway & Navigation Company. It should also be noted, that Montgomery County Department of Public Works & Transportation (Ride-On) has, since the summer of 1996 in its employ, a RideOn Bus Operator (currently at the Gaithersburg Ride-On Facility) who is a CONVICTED Child Molester, operating its buses. Its should also be known to the public, that the Convicted Child Molester, while he was an operator at the Silver Spring RideOn facility, molested the 12 year old daughter of a co-worker. The same co-worker who got him his job w/ RideOn back in 1990. The 12year old victims father was a 2time employee of the month & in 1993, was honored by the then county executive, as the BEST Transit Operator at the Silver Spring RideOn facility.
Yet, MoCo, in its infinate wisdom (haha) decided to fire the victims father & allowed the CONVICTED CHILD MOLESTER to retain his job with the county. Would you want to RideOn a bus, with a CONVICTED Child Molester behind the wheel? Would you allow your children & other family members to board RideOn knowing that they allow a Convicted Child Molester to have supervision of other RideOn bus operators?
