So it would appear, but in fact it was part of the sign identifying a Seat & Body Shop.
One from the archives, 14 years ago. As usual, stumbled across it by accident.
Seen from the Forth & Clyde Canal at Camelon, which is a district of Falkirk. The locals were unfailingly friendly whilst I was there.

The dog on this sign caught my attention. I was immediately reminded of the Egyptian god Anubis, so I thought it would be fun to play around a bit.

The air was a putrid color of not caring. Yin didn’t even know what particular part of her life the world didn’t care about; was it about her eating disorder or her dad’s screams and hallucinations at night? Maybe a little of all of the above. Either way, it didn’t give her any satisfaction, flipping the unsympathetic clouds off. She sighed, brushing her limp hair behind her, and leaned back against the prickly grass. Her rib cage was a soaring gothic cathedral. She tried to remember a time when her diet was normal or maybe when her dad was. But there seemed to be nothing behind the memories of being afraid to eat bananas, or his blood curdling screams as he saw monsters leering at him. She knew there’d been a mom, and maybe even a time when she ate chocolate and ice cream without punishing herself, but it was all a blank, like missing calories and hollow stomachs. Yin wanted to puke.

Derker makes me think of the film Team America: World Police.
Derker was a railway station on the Oldham Loop Line, which was closed in 2009. It’s now a stop on Metrolink, on the line from Rochdale to East Didsbury.
A number of other reasonably recent signs from stations on the Oldham Loop Line were in the museum.

The V sign has a different meaning between every culture, in this picture it means Victory, and the stones referred to the up rising (Intefada in Arabic) movements of the Palestinian against the Israeli occupation.
They defend themselves with stones and raised their hands with the victory sign "V", against soldiers with their guns.

An often-photographed-and-posted landmark from the Oakland Marriott City Center. The window served as a monopod. I think I feel pretty good about this shot.

The Strand name for theaters seems to be popular out here. I've found 2 within a hundred miles of each other. In West Liberty, Iowa.
They've restored this ghost sign that was uncovered with a building demolition. I believe Coca-Cola paid for the restoration.
This is a permanently closed catfish restaurant that sits on the bank of Caddo Lake on the Louisiana-Texas border.
