Reykjadalur Trailhead in Grændalur is about halfway betwen the town of Hveragerði Iceland and the warm waters of the Reykjadalsá (stream) in the Reykjadalur (valley).

The Intu shopping centre ... most units still in darkness. Only food and pharmacy outlets open.

 

Even the main lights are off.

I love this sign ...!

Lovely to see the start of spring!

Someone placed a vintage gas price sign in their antique shop yard to mock us on the foolish position that we are in today.

Mount Defiance Lookout sign covered in stickers which make it hard to read what the sign is saying. Words are used to both inform and obscure. Something a reader has to be aware of and try to maintain critical thinking.

Prince Street, Soho, New York City [a frequent subject, but in color]

From Berea, Kentucky. We were seduced by the sign proclaiming "Historic Boone Tavern" which turned out to be a big, old hotel. maybe historic, but we are of the era that remembers Fess Parker and Danial Boone. This is near Boonesborough. This is all that was really there, besides the hotel.

Every sunrise reminds me that the world cannot be taken for granted – a sign of light that shows me how precious every moment is, precisely because it never returns.

The first of the tulips to bloom was, naturally, the first to show signs of aging. But it retained its glorious color until the end.

This is a closed area that had abandoned amusement park stuff and a stand where fireworks were sold. There was also a sign for "Smokin' Butts BBQ." Private and posted or not, this intrepid photographer had to go. But I didn't stay long.
