I was in a car waiting at a stoplight and happened to have chosen that day to only go with my 50mm 1.4 on the D40 and have the Olympus XA ride sidekick. Naturally, I was confronted with this situation, which really cried out for a longer lens. My moment of hesitation cost me the opportunity to open the window, and I just shot through the windshield. I was immediately disappointed, but after a crop, the shot isn't so bad. A testiment to the old fellow's signmaker that the words are very clear in spite of the intervening dirty auto glass.
