Misses Nesbit on the left enjoys here champagne while Lady Hammilton brought some coockies with her from shopping. Madame Soufflé offers some coockies and cheesecake to their hostess.
My dear, this Sigma 6 drag queen party is going to be something....;P
From December, 2008; four years before I joined Flickr.
This one is for Jason Hendricks, with thanks.
The Dreadnoks think the band plays way to soft and jump on stage to teach them some hardcore lessons :P
If only I could time-travel back to 2006, I would have stocked up on the small scale Sigma 6 G.I. Joe vehicles. I loved that line, and I have most of the larger 8 inch figures, but I skipped most of the smaller vehicles. I am kicking myself now that I can see that there is not a lot of difference between the 3 inch Sigma 6 figures, and the 2 inch MiniMates.
Not only were there a number of vehicles that came out that would work for pretty close scale, but there were also a couple of Mechas. And, since Mechas are a made-up vehicle, the size can be off for the scale to still work. In this case, the Iron Hammer is a great example. It is a big vehicle that can fit into the scenes with the MiniMates. Better yet, it has a cockpit that can fit a MiniMate. That can't always happen with the strange dimensions of MiniMates, but when it works, you do NOT want to pass it up.
Interestingly, there were a lot of vehicles from Sigma 6 that were repurposed into the standard 3 3/4 inch G.I. Joe line. So, if they can go up in scale, I can go down in scale. That means, keep your eyes out for other vehicles that fit the bill. If they are not a standard vehicle, they may very well fit into scale.
Aside: I was having fun today, since I made 6 more explosions, I wanted to see if I could make it look like the windows were being blown out of the building. I also made a smoke trail for a missile. I think they are very convincing, and I am looking forward to my next project. What that is, I don't know yet, but I am sure it will be fun.

One of my other new customs: Ltnt Stone. I think he looks pretty sweet, I loved the Sigma 6 version and tried to stay relatively close to that one :)
If anyone has some roc/poc/25th fodder laying around btw, I'd be very interrested :D

I like the Sigma figs. They are sturdy, durable toys, articulation is still very good and I don't mind the more 'comic' look. After all, it's still a toy. And this Zartan is pretty cool, he still has the vibe of the original.

these five joined the team well after the initial wave of Joes. Bombstrike, drone operator (2015), Crosshairs (2017 v4), Hi-Tech (Sigma6), Sgt Stone (2009, v2) and Firewall (from cartoon, never a figure)
Actionfigure noise! With on the bongo's: Whispering Willie, on stand up bass: Cowboy Billy Bob, on drums: Lemmy Killmister, guitar: Dr. Mindbender and lyrics by the Honkey Tonk man :D
Not the end a warrior like Major Bludd would have wanted. Struck by a mercyless disease he summons in Cobra Commander for the last time. Not for another succesfully completed mission, but to offer him his discharge.
Bludd now has to fight a losing battle that will prove more important than all the money he has ever earned. All of those dollars can't help him anymore...he's on his own now......
Every now and then I take a few hours to look at everybodys awesome streams here on Flickr, but I've been a busy bee lately so I had to do a great deal of catching up ;) I saw some of y'all had some great hommages to our dear Joe buddy Craig who passed away some time ago. So I had to make an Outrider tribute as well. Craig was an awesome guy, he cheered my up when my dad was terminally ill, while he himself was fighting the same damn disease as well. That's one hell of a guy and a real trooper I'd say. Can't look at a Bludd fig anymore without thinking about him, I'm sure it's the same with you guys. So hail to the Outrider, rip bud!
Rohan and I have been eyeing this toy for a long time. Good thing we waited, now the price is down to P349.75! The box includes 3 ninja stars, adjustable ninja knuckles, mask and tonfa sword. The Tonfa sword has lights, sounds, and a hidden blade! Uber coolness! I arrived late, supposed to be, this is a "pasalubong" for Rohan. I can't resist, I opened the box, tried on the mask (a snug fit) and unleashed the fury of the Blade. Woohoo! Happy times. Obviously I took these pictures myself using my phone.
Have you ever thought about the symbols that pop up in your life, or rather, the patterns of behavior that surround you?
Isn't it interesting what happens when you put your attention on that?
I never was a Transformers fan when I was just a kid. I gotta blame it on the old Transformers toys which are really expensive during that time (80s). My parents never bought me one. But I do remember GI Joes! I bought my first GI Joe - Alpine on one of those Toys and Gift Fair held at P.I.C.C. And they cost around 60 bucks during that time. My 3 most memorable GI Joes are: Alpine, Lifeline (which I got during my birthday), and Snake Eyes. Sadly, these toys were long gone, as I grew up, we used them as "sacrificial lambs" during New Years Eve. We would usually tie them up with explosives and watch them blow. Sigh. If I only knew that they would eventually go up in value.
2007 marks Gi Joe's 25th anniversary. And the company that made them, Hasbro... has released these vintage goodies with some nice modifications while keeping the traditional painted packaging. I won't be opening this one. A picture perfect memorabilia from my youthful days.
By the way, I bought this sucker for P500 - that's a P440 increase in price from waaaaay back.
