Project 365

Thursday • May 13, 2010

I realized I hadn't posted my image of the day for Thursday. As you can tell, I am still inbeach mode! But since I can't get to a beach at the moment, I created a beach scene on my kitchen table. This is a sea urchin that I found in Abaco (the Bahamas); the sand is from Siesta Key, Florida; the sea glass jar is from an antique shop and the blue in the far background from a hand-painted t-shirt from St. John, Virgin Islands.

Again, sorry to post & run! I will be around later today to catch up to everyone! Happy Saturday!

...and I've officially decided that this is what I wish I was doing right now instead of shoveling snow!

This was one of those weeks, so busy with the garage sale that I am really cheating on my P365. I just did not have time to get out and do any shooting. So I pulled this sunset shot from a year old archive from Siesta Key, Florida. This is from my Road Trip last year! Rachel and I must have taken 50 photos on this particular evening!

I forgot this was Saturday! Well I do believe that sunsets are very cliche; with the added silhouette to boot!! In fact, this very pool contains many of them (I shall go look at them and see how many)! So Happy Cliche Saturday Everyone! HCS!

Time slipped through my hands this past week and I realized I hadn't uploaded my P365 images! So funny that this image represents exactly what happened! Not a plan at all! I had another photo for this day but it didn't turn out like I wanted so this is an alternate image.

*Thanks to my assistant Jackie! She is the one pouring the sand into my hand!

We ended our summer vacation at the beach...I definitely recommend relaxation after the Disney craziness! :)

Road Trip 2009 • Day 14

Spent a long day hunting for shark's teeth at Casperson's Beach. I bought a "Florida Snow Shovel" so Rachel could sift the sand. Found quite a few!

Then we headed home for a shower and some grillage. Then we decided to go see "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince." When we were leaving the theater, Rachel said, "Look at that pink bird? Is it a flamingo?" We got closer and discovered this most beautiful Roseate Spoonbill! What a find! Naturally, I snapped about 30 photos! This one was the best as it showcased the color and the shape of the bill. But that reflection clinched it!
