A rare, rare find in a goodmama -- a Japanese cotton knit!!! You know that nothing compares to the softness of Japanese cotton. Shiitake features happy little mushrooms on a soft buttery cotton with butterscotch snaps, chocolate brown topstitching/serging, and organic bamboo velour inside. All seams are turned and topstiched for ultimate comfort. It just doesn't get better than this one.

This reminds me of a nice sportscar for some reason..

OK..so two things here..

One, yesterday was my 41st birthday..and hubby got me a new camera!! I can't even begin to express how excited I am about this gift. I have wanted a new camera for so very long and have been working with a very teeny, tiny, puny Kodak Easyshare 6 MP camera for a long time. It has been so difficult to get close up shots and no Macro at all..

Second..we noticed a birdsnest in our Spruce bush a week or so ago..and then a momma Robin flying in and out. Not more than 3 days ago I noticed her sitting atop the nest so I thought for sure there were eggs she was incubating. With the advice of lucycat here on Flickr, who is very knowledgeable about birds and eggs..I researched birdwatch.org for some tips about viewing the inside of the nest. I did not want to disturb anything or make any issues for the momma or potential babies..

So today, equipped with new camera in hand..hubby got me a stepladder..a small one and I carefully went to peak at the nest..Before I even got on the step ladder..I saw two beaks..and two tiny baby bird heads!!! I was so amazed..thinking all along that I'd maybe find a few eggs..but never did I think I'd see baby birds..and so big! I thought there were only two..but as soon as I rounded the corner of the left side of the nest..well there was a third!

I am so overly excited about this..as this is really the first year I have ever taken notice of the goings on in my own backyard. I have really developed a great affinity for nature, especially birds..so this is a wonderful treat for me..Perhaps I may peek in again at the babies but I don't think I will take any more photos in fear I may scare the babies and they may fall from their nest..they are all really packed in there right now and maybe ready to take off soon.

This definitely wasn't what I was aiming for, but the little slice of reflected life looks like some weird sort of moustache or disfigured patch of skin, so I'm keeping it and uploading it for you to see. XD
