Unfortunately I do not have the original Blacksuit that was given to me by Kevin B.'s mother in the mid 70s. He was probably the exact middle in height between these two. I lost him sometime in the late 80s. He was solid plastic of a more rugged variety. He was somewhere in detail between the two presented here. The smaller one here is my second version which I found online. It has less detail than the original and is thinner on a less durable plastic. Also, the color application is minimal compared to the original. The larger one here is taller and larger proportionally than the original, though it is hollow and has more intricate detail than the original. One day I still hope to find one like my original.
My original and the smaller one here were both cupcake toppers. In both cases I removed the spike at the bottom and tried to file down the base. The third one (the large one here) had no spike and simply has hollow feet. I imagine it was likely used to stand on a larger cake, as it's size seems to lean that way.
There is no end to my love for Blacksuit.

~ flowers for DPS 365 my centerpiece(s) from the baby shower. I really had imagined my tubes (vases) were much bigger and the daffs were much smaller--until I bought the daffs and brought them home --I thought the would fit all the way down in the tubes and not stick out--boy--back to the drawing table.
on a Sunny day like Sunday we went by bike along the channel from Terneuzen to Sas van Gent.
There was a 50th Photo Exhibition of the Sasse Fotokring .
A friend of mine Jean de la Tête exhibited there too.
On our way home, we found this beauty on it's way to Ghent.
Sending you all: hugs, love and peace!

Belle and Gaston have been deboxed and are free standing side by side.
Detailed photos of the Disney Film Collection Belle and Gaston Doll Set (Disney Store, $69.95). They were released on January 16, 2017 online and in stores in the US. They represent characters in the upcoming live action Beauty and the Beast movie. Belle is wearing her blue peasant dress, and has her hair in a pony tail. Gaston has a faux suede outfit, a pistol in a holster, and has molded hair. I like that Gaston has the new articulated muscular arms that was introduced with the Designer Gaston late last year. Belle has the 2012 Classic Princess style fully articulated legs, so she can wear flats. They both can free stand stably.
Apparently today is National Siblings Day? So thought I'd post an appropriate photo of some siblings!

I wanted to debox a doll so badly today. I am having my dolly shelves moved soon so did not want to debox any of the other more fragile dolls, so the Spain Passport dolly came out.
Then I had to take some pics of her with the other Spain DotW. They are so different, to me they look like mother and daughter.

I just received the Anna Couture de Force Figure from the Disney Store. She is $69.95, $5 less expensive than the Elsa figure. She was actually shipped by Enesco, the manufacturer. She is an 8 inch high resin figure of Anna in her black and green Coronation outfit. She is holding a pink fan in one hand and holding up her skirt in the other. It recalls the scene of her singing the ''sophisticated grace'' part of ''For the First Time in Forever.'' She is a very pretty figure, with lots of details that are true of the movie character. There is gold glitter on the fan, which does shed. There are two minor but noticeable defects in the figure. One is that the gold glitter is applied unevenly on the front of the fan. The other is that there is a small gash in her left shoulder (to our right), that also cuts into the strap of her gown. Other than that, the details and painting are very nicely down. She is very sturdy free standing, and is considerably heavier than the companion Elsa figure.
I photograph Anna from all angles, and also show her with the Elsa Couture de Force Figure. I like the rendering of Elsa's face better than Anna, and Elsa's transparent cape is amazing, and is unlike that of any other Elsa figure. But the Anna figure is matches with Elsa very well. Both of them are still available from the US Disney Store website.

Side by side comparisons of the first and second versions of the Limited Edition Moana 16 inch dolls. They are both fully deboxed. They are shown both with and without their oars, and both standing and laying down. I have left out the first Moana's Pua and Hei Hei sidekick figures, as I just wanted to compare the dolls themselves.
Side by side comparison of last year's King Triton doll with this year's King Triton doll, from The Little Mermaid Deluxe Doll Gift Set. Both dolls by the Disney Store, and are from my collection. There is no currently available King Triton doll in the 2013 Disney Princess Classic Doll Collection.
