Thank you for your visit, most appreciated!
...you probably ask yourself Should I stay or should I go?
I've been locked out of Flickr for some days. Just could'nt log in at all. No mail adress or hotline, no person to contact. Flickr and Yahoo support works only if you're logged in. Well...
This, among other things, is sort of alienating to me.
To my friends & contacts: Sorry for the rant. Most of all I'm here because of you! :-)
P.S.: I just tried to log into my Yahoo Mail. Doesn't work again. As soon as I'm logged out of Flickr, I might be completely out again. :-( Just so you know.
If you are a fan of Stranger Things then maybe you'll get the mood of the title with the theme song straight from season 1 ;) This scene reminded me of something from The Upside Down... I'm all about the moody fog and atmosphere but there is a healthy fear I carry of getting lost. Or maybe being left behind. I have a vivid imagination and going through the mountain roads when they look like this stir up so many scenarios in my head ha! Sorry for posting so many images lately. I've had a lot on my mind and have found myself immersing myself in my work lately. It is now 3:00 am in my time zone, I guess I better call it a night or should I say morning. Hope your week is going good, thanks for putting up with all the extra images coming through.
xx

In the immortal words of The Clash 'Should I Stay or Should I Go', it's all very confusing!
Some long exposure action in Waikiki on Ala Moana Boulevard which winds through various hotels and skyscrapers to the main commercial area of Honolulu. Taken at a very late hour it took several shots and almost an hour to get the red amber green take. I was determined to get it.
A beautiful chubby Grey Squirrel stuck in motion, looking me over to see if he was safe
to hang around or if he should scoot away! I'm glad he stayed for a bit =)

Isn’t it interesting how the mind works? When I saw the leaf hanging on to the edge I began setting up my shot and the lyrics of the song “Should I stay or should I go” started playing in my head and its been there ever since.
And now it’s stuck in yours, you can thank the leaf!

( i mean NO offense, but i'm not looking for advice. just thinking/writing "out loud")

this is a really bad hair day.
hell, they're all bad hair days right now.
the one and only thing i'll be happy about when the show closes is finally being able to get a haircut again!

76 / 365 - Just let it go
Time passed too quickly today, i just realized it's almost midnight and i haven't had the chance to shoot any photo today.
Still too busy wondering if i will end up moving to Japan or not…
In this case, i just pour myself a glass of the good old beverage and wait for it to wash the worries away :)
Also, it's St. Patrick's day and, god be my witness, i really wanted to have a few Guinness for the night, to celebrate properly but not sticking my nose outside my bedroom really didn't help!
[I know it's a poor photo, and i know i could've made it prettier with some Photoshop but the timing was not on my side today :) ]

Sometimes I worry if a photo I take can capture the moment for all it's worth because I feel that it may not do justice in it's entirety. This picture is the opposite.
This was just a simple moment. My friend was locking the car before our hike and his girlfriend was waiting patiently in the street. That was it, nothing more to the story.
But if I look at it with a different perspective, this picture could tell so many different stories. Something so simple now has so much depth. Is he having second thoughts? Is she leaving him? Where is he going? What was said? What WILL be said?
And that is why I love photography, you create whatever story you like...

I wouldn't...LOL!

The problem presented by Mr Jones and his associates in The Clash is a dilemma over the best way to avoid a difficult situation, or 'trouble'.
The Clash have done well at identifying two courses of action-staying or going-and have reflected on the level of trouble each would cause, but repeatedly fail to decide on either over the three minutes ten seconds they allow themselves to make a decision.
Thankfully, a simple mathematical model helps us solve the trouble they're facing. Setting after all. out their issue, The Clash state that there will be trouble if they go, but if they stay it will occur at twice that rate.
Defining trouble as t, we know that for any given value of trouble: t(go) = x, but, t(stay) = 2x.
After this, it's simple maths to say that for any level of trouble above zero-in which situation The Clash could do whatever they liked - they should clearly go, for a maximum of half as much trouble versus the alternative. We have also demonstrated that paying attention to algebra in school can prove useful in adult life
However, we should stress the above analysis is all done under the hypothesis that Mr Jones and co. wish to minimize the trouble they face, which may not be the case. They are, after all, named The Clash.
t(go) = x
but
t(stay) = 2x

WHEN WILL I, WILL I BE FAMOUS?
Bros, however, treat fame as a certainty; it is after all 'when will I be famous?' not simply 'will I be famous?', which possibly refers to Andy Warhol's assertion that everyone will be famous for fifteen minutes.
However, this gets difficult: if everyone is to be famous for fifteen minutes, we would need 199,771 years just to get through everyone alive right now. Or, to allow each person on the planet their allotted fifteen minutes in their lifetime, each person would have to share their fifteen minutes of fame with 2,496 others. That may not make you feel all that famous.

I'm going to give it one more year. Things change. Flickr changed, I've changed, my associates on flickr changed. If I go, I'm not sure what to do, leave my photos, take it all down, etc.

Ashley and I had an unexpected invite to walk in the forest today - I thought it would be an ideal opportunity to get a pic for the 'ambassador' challenge in 12 months for dogs. A two parter, to show you and your dog somewhere you've never been, and then a picture which shows something about the relationship you have with your dog. Trouble is, while we were out and enjoying the beautiful afternoon, I forgot one very crucial part of the challenge - me! So this won't be an entry for the ambassador challenge but I didn't want to waste the effort. The second pic shows how I normally see Ashley when we're out in the forest - a rear view, with her off doing her own thing and me trailing behind. Unless I have a toy for her, she is totally content with her own company and is in her own little world - she has no interest in me, other dogs, people, deer, cows or horses. Just spends her time sniffing out the muddiest puddles in the forest which she then wallows in :o)
