Behind the scenes on the set of the Crazy8s winning short film "The Vessel" by director Marshalll Axani. Shot March 16-18, 2012 in North Vancouver, BC. Photo by: Bettina Strauss
The first shot of the day on Sunday was a close-up of Julia Simone (aka "Paula") and Richard Turgeon (aka "Satchel") and their interaction at the apartment dumpster.

Around Easter time I was hanging with the fam in Spicer, and I can't remember exactly how it happened, but somehow the phrase "The Lonely Bowler" was spouted; I think by me. My cousin Steve, a film studies major, and all around artisan, was very intrigued by this phrase.
One brainstorming Chinese dinner in Litchfield and a few weeks later, and Steve was filming his short film, "The Lonely Bowler", featuring yours truly in the title role. I busted out my bowling shirt, shoes, and ball (hand-me-downs from my Dad), and did my best to perform admirably. I'm excited to see the end result.
