The beach of Kolona is basically a narrow strip of land that connects Kythnos to the islet of Agios Loukas. However, it has a particular charm, partly due to its fine, golden sand and the sea lapping at both of its sides.

I colori del cielo erano bellissimi e si riflettevano sul mare creando un un colore ramato intenso. Avevo com me un ottica molto corta e non ho potuto inquadrare più il peschereccio ma i colori sono così belli che ho deciso di pubblicare questa foto lo stesso. Ingrandendo la foto si possono notare i gabbiani tutti intorno al peschereccio cercando di portare via un po' di cibo dall'imbarcazione .

Spent the evening down at Garrapata today. The El Nino storms we have had this winter has exposed a lot of rock on the beaches of California. The rock you see in the above image is usually under sand.

The sand gave a beautiful color contrast to the waves and the water.

The surfer was having a very good time!!!! but so was I...

St. Peter Ording, Northern Frisia, North Sea.

Emerald Isle, North Carolina is positioned East West so the Sun Rises and Sets on the Beach. This is located near the point which marks the end of the Outer Banks of NC. Thanks for the visit and have a good remainder of the week.

We walk around this area often as it`s only 10 min drive from home.

This is a site of a lighthouse that was destroyed by a typhoon few years back.

Kinloch, Island of Rum. The weather was not at all favourable but this evening was just great to study geology.

The town of Fedje in Hordaland, Norway is clustered around the harbour that connects the island to the mainland. As you can see, white is the predominant colour choice for houses here.

Thingvellir National Park in Southwest Iceland with its vast stretches of wilderness, in summer endless lava fields, in winter an apparent ice desert. The setting sun was beautifully highlighting the structures and wind patterns in the snow.
