Picture taken inside a major retailer’s last day in business. As I was making this image, the storewide annoucement said, “This store will be closing in 45 minutes. Everything is 90% off.” As I walked around the empty space, I couldn’t help but think of all the people who ever worked there, and the remaining employees, who were going to lose their jobs in 45 minutes.
I've admired the neon on this building for years, but finally remembered to stop by at night for some pictures. It looks like Cook & Co has been involved in some of the most iconic neon signs in the city. That makes me somewhat of an insta-fan.
