Broadway is a large village and civil parish within the Cotswolds, located in the county of Worcestershire, England. It is situated in the far southeast of Worcestershire and very close to the Gloucestershire border, midway between the towns of Evesham and Moreton-in-Marsh. It is sometimes referred to as the "Jewel of the Cotswolds".
Broadway village lies beneath Fish Hill on the western Cotswold escarpment. The "broad way" is the wide grass-fringed main street, centred on the Green, which is lined with red chestnut trees and honey-coloured Cotswold limestone buildings, many dating from the 16th century. It is known for its association with the Arts and Crafts movement, and is situated in an area of outstanding scenery and conservation. The wide High Street is lined with a wide variety of shops and cafes, many housed in listed buildings.

What a wonderful Christmas we had at our house! I hope yours was just as special. And now what, well after Christmas sales right?!! lol Yeah my RL sister and I have hit a few places.
By the way, if you're out there shopping be careful y'all.
We're still in the holiday season and as Christmas is just too important to last for such a short time I'll sign off with a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year before I'm off to Best Buy!

I took this shot last year of a clothing department store I saw in Manhattan's Soho district.I don't know if this is a cast-iron on the building our not,but it could be considering many of the department stores in Soho during the mid to late 19th century had façades made from the material.
Souvenir shops line up along the streets in the town at the foot of Nui Sam. The shops specialise in selling souvenirs for pilgrims, which means they must be conservable as you see in the photo.
The most notable souvenir in Nui Sam seemed to be salt-preserved fish meats as displayed in the centre of the photo, which are collectively called "mắm."
Fish meat ferments without toxic bacterias if stored with salt even in the tropical climate.
Nước mắm, the fish source that provides a basis for Vietnamese cooking, is the water (nước) exuding from fermenting fish meat. I admire the first people who tried the liquid with an odd smell.
There is a variation to preserve fish meat, which does not only add salt but also cooked rice. It produces lactic fermentation, and fish meat is preserved with slightly sour taste. This is the original Sushi that is found in Sutheast Asia, southern China, as well as in Japan.
What is known as Sushi in the world is its instant version that skips the fermentation process, which was invented in the 18th century in Edo (present-day Tokyo). It's a drastic departure from the original purpose of preservation.

These are a short walk from where we stayed in Doolin, County Clare…with a touch of sliding. The colours are pretty accurate though and the roof of the pink sweater shop is thatch…though it’s not none too obvious with this processing!
