#33 - Footwear, 52 in 2014
Actually, a Christmas tree ornament that I found at Wal-Mart for $1.97. I wanted to use it for the footwear category in 52 in 2014 and will now pass it on to a friend's white, gold and black Christmas tree...
Macro Monday's and the theme of "Footwear".
For this week I just chose one of my son's shoes for a simple abstract.
It is almost if the lace hole is an eye and the stitching is a smile....
.....or could it be a Crocodile?
My new shoes from Martin + Osa that I bought yesterday. I wore them outside for the first time today. They're made by Bloch, a company that makes dance shoes and now street shoes, apparently. (My dance shoes for the wedding were Blochs.) These are the most comfortable ballet flats I've ever had--comfortable enough even to wear without little socks underneath.
We stayed at the Wooden Shoe group campsite - it's isolated so any large group won't disturb the other campers.
You can't seen the wooden shoe from the campsite, but it's visible from a nearby vantage.

Discovering My Sister, Gretel
Longest night ever, I pray
for her safe return;
can't blink
or she'll be missed.
Behind poker-faced searchers,
I bite my lips,
open my eyes wide,
and push aside brambles.
Did she lose the breadcrumb trail?
Then – a banshee wail,
confused stillness,
echo of palpitations
and a bloody shoe offered
up for inspection.
All eyes follow a trail
of dark pebbles
from shoe
to confirmation.

And my latest pair of shoes are from Red or Dead - my sensible black pair, or at least as sensible as I get!

EXPLORE #298 (Thank you soooo much! )
I deleted the previous picture. HAHA.
Unused shoes. :))
Anyway, thank guys so much. I really appreciate all your comments, views and likes. <3
Wandering around a local charity superstore I came across these amazing shoes. I remember wearing wedge shoes in my youth but none quite as dramatic as these. I don't think I would have lived to tell the story.
Somewhat incomprehensibly I found myself up a hill without my trusty camera at my side - so I had to make do with the el-cheapo shoe phone instead.
Worked out alright though I think - A lengthy 534 on the down grade approaching Waitotara.
