Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (officially Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus since 2017, formerly Victoria Terminus) is a historic railway terminus and UNESCO World Heritage Site in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. The terminus is the headquarters of India's Central Railway. It is one of the busiest railway stations in India, serving as a terminal for both long-distance and suburban trains with a total number of 18 platforms.

The ever-going saga of Lufthansa's Boeing 787 fleet, the German flag-carrier still operates 5 examples which were inherited from orders subsequently not taken up by Hainan Airlines, Suparna Airlines and Vistara Airlines; yet Lufthansa have still yet to receive their own batch of Boeing 787-9s with many still languishing awaiting delivery.

At present, the 5 existing Boeing 787-9s with Lufthansa are earmarked for Austrian Airlines to replace the ageing Boeing 767-300ERs, but their transfer is only contingent when Lufthansa actually receives their own fleet of Boeing 787-9s.

There have been a number of setbacks regarding Lufthansa's own Boeing 787-9s; 15 are currently at Boeing's Charleston facility in varying states, however Lufthansa who are due to receive 10 by the end of 2025 have been unable to take delivery of them owing to the Allegris Business Class seats manufactured by Collins Aerospace have yet to be certified.

As a result of the seats yet to be certified, Lufthansa have made the decision to take delivery of their first Boeing 787-9s with the Allegris seats blocked out until they get certified. Lufthansa will take delivery of their first Boeing 787-9s from late-September 2025 with some of seats blocked and to be utilised on Lufthansa's lower demand long-haul routes.

Once deliveries commence, the Boeing 787-9s should enable the 5 existing Boeing 787-9s to transfer over to Austrian Airlines, and should also enable Lufthansa to gradually replace the Airbus A330-300s and Airbus A340-300s.

Currently, Lufthansa operates 5 Boeing 787s, all of which are Boeing 787-9s. Lufthansa have 34 Boeing 787-9s on-order

Alpha Bravo Papa Charlie is one of 5 Boeing 787-9s operated by Lufthansa, not taken up by Hainan Airlines and Vistara before being delivered new to the German flag-carrier on 18th January 2023 and she is powered by 2 General Electric GEnx-1B74/75 engines. She is named after the northern German city of Kiel in the state of Schleswig-Holstein. She is due to transfer over to Austrian Airlines at a later date.

As ever, the changes are in-depth and expect further changes in the coming months as flights begin to finalise... It is worth noting that British Airways is likely expecting a near normal S23 schedule after what has been a rather dismal S22 schedule following major understaffing, notably from London Heathrow. Other frequency increases come from the Asia-Pacific region as further countries relax restrictions following COVID-19, notably Japan which has relaxed entry requirements since October 2022, as well as Beijing and Shanghai expecting to see flights reinstated although not at the level of capacity seen since prior to the pandemic.

British Airways are still in the midst of taking delivery of brand new wide-body jets with deliveries of the Airbus A350-1000 almost complete whilst Boeing 787-10s have since restarted, and the refurbishment of their Boeing 777-200ER/300ER remains ongoing.

Finally, British Airways are continuing their trend of introducing new destinations to the United States; notably rumours suggest a new destination to be announced (Indianapolis being a major talking-point), however their recently introduced flights to Portland, Oregon has been so successful that it will utilise Boeing 777-200ERs going forward.

Currently, British Airways operates 13 Airbus A350s, all of which are Airbus A350-1000s. British Airways have 5 more Airbus A350-1000s on-order.

After what has been two years of reduced demand owing to COVID-19, there does appear to be some form of normality returning as airlines commence their S22 schedules after much disruption. For one thing, it is great to be able to look at airline schedules once again especially when you look at local carriers like British Airways which always provide interest.

The S22 schedule is somewhat bittersweet considering this schedule no longer includes the now retired Boeing 747-400s which have been a common fixture right up to COVID-19; although somewhat of a blessing as British Airways has been focusing on refurbishing their Boeing 777 fleet with Club Suites which is nearly complete.

Sahyadri is one of the toughest mountains in the world. You can enjoy it's beauty in various places. Shivthar Ghal is one of such places. It is comparatively a small and rare place but must be seen and especially in the rainy season.

It is a place where Samarth Ramdas had written 'Dasbodh'- his famous manuscript. You must be amazing about this place and why Ramdas Swami had chosen this place, for his holy book but you never know it until you enter a small hall where Ramdas Swami used to sit, pray and write.

Shivthar Ghal is an area of silent beauty consists of lush green views of trees, mountains, a big waterfall and a river. Its a place where you can enjoy the clam and quite nature and really concentrate. It took almost 12 years to complete Dasbodh as Ramdas Swami dictated it and Kalyan Swami wrote it down. Now a days, the place is maintained by Shri Samarth Seva Mandal' and 'Sundarmath Seva samiti'.

Shivthar Ghal is a place worth to visit and enjoy the quite beauty of the nature and remember the famous saint in Maharashtra - Saint Ramdas and his Dasbodh.

The Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, formerly known as Victoria Terminus Station, in Mumbai, is an outstanding example of Victorian Gothic Revival architecture in India, blended with themes deriving from Indian traditional architecture. The building, designed by the British architect F. W. Stevens, became the symbol of Bombay as the ‘Gothic City’ and the major international mercantile port of India. The terminal was built over 10 years, starting in 1878, according to a High Victorian Gothic design based on late medieval Italian models. Its remarkable stone dome, turrets, pointed arches and eccentric ground plan are close to traditional Indian palace architecture. It is an outstanding example of the meeting of two cultures, as British architects worked with Indian craftsmen to include Indian architectural tradition and idioms thus forging a new style unique to Bombay.

The spectacle of trains arriving at Mumbai in close succession and discharge thousands of commuters is remarkable to witness. Often the first coach of the train is for ladies only and so they have a head start in getting off the platform.

The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, abbreviated CSMVS and formerly named the Prince of Wales Museum of Western India, is the main museum in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It was founded in the early years of the 20th century by prominent citizens of Mumbai, with the help of the government, to commemorate the visit of Edward VIII, who was Prince of Wales at the time. It is located in the heart of South Mumbai near the Gateway of India.

It took us almost an hour to walk over the perimeter of this plateau, giving us a fascinating 360 degree view of the ghats (hills). No wonder, this fort was a perfect watch tower for the troops of Shivaji Maharaj. A must go destination for monsoon lovers.

With over 2 months until the S22 schedule comes to a close, airlines are beginning to make further adjustments to their upcoming W22 schedule from the end of October 2022, this coinciding with a number of capacity and frequency alterations to reflect the quieter demand. For British Airways, the carrier is well known for frequently providing updates to their schedules and its no different for the upcoming winter where there should be signs of relief following an overstretched summer.

Generally, the winter sees reduced demand for British Airways long-haul flights especially for the United States and Canada, whilst demand typically increases for Africa and South East Asia which is reflected in the recent changes published on various channels. Below is the list of frequency changes for the W22 schedule by provided by British Airways which will commence from 30th October 2022 (unless otherwise stated) which is subject to change:

-Bahrain: Daily service with BA124/125 utilising 4-class Boeing 777-200ERs instead of Boeing 787-8s.

The changes is largely down to capacity reduction on key markets, although countries like Australia and India sees a capacity increase. For British Airways, the carrier is expected to receive a number of Boeing 787-10s that have been delayed owing to certification issues. It is estimated that during this schedule period that the Boeing 777-300ERs should be fully refurbished whilst the remaining 3-class Boeing 777-200ERs will have received their new interiors.

Currently, British Airways operates 59 Boeing 777s, which includes 43 Boeing 777-200ERs and 16 Boeing 777-300ERs. British Airways have 18 Boeing 777-9s on-order.

Originally named Prince of Wales Museum of Western India, this museum in Mumbai (Bombay) documents the history of India from prehistoric to modern times.

It was founded during British rule of India in the early years of the 20th century by prominent citizens of the city then called Bombay, with the help of the government, to commemorate the visit of the Prince of Wales (later George V, king of the United Kingdom and emperor of India). It is located in the heart of South Mumbai near the Gateway of India. The museum was renamed in 1998 after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha Empire.

The building is built in the Indo-Saracenic style of architecture, incorporating elements of other styles of architecture like the Mughal, Maratha and Jain. The museum building is surrounded by a garden of palm trees and formal flower beds.

After what has been two years of reduced demand owing to COVID-19, there does appear to be some form of normality returning as airlines commence their S22 schedules after much disruption. For one thing, it is great to be able to look at airline schedules once again especially when you look at local carriers like Virgin Atlantic which always provide interest.

The S22 schedule is somewhat bittersweet; Virgin Atlantic's London operations now focuses on Heathrow. For what it's worth, the carrier is expanding its fleet with new destinations announced throughout 2022. Interesting to think that Virgin Atlantic was close to shutting up shop...

The changes is a considerable ramp up; the Airbus A330-300s return to the fray after being in long-term storage, and it shouldn't be a surprise to see more Airbus A350-1000s continuing to dominate as the carrier is expected to operate 14 by 2023. Throne of Shivaji Maharaj at Raigad fort in Maharashtra, India

Formerly Known as Victoria Termnus, Then as Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Mumbai.

Only detailed Original Shivaji Maharaj painting known.

It showcases the ture personality of Maharaj, unlike the Tiger trearing, half tiger-half man face or a arrogant looking face that artists with cheap taste depicts in their artwork..

The eyes make it easy to see how he could be the caring king who was devoted to his subjects.

This was painted by a visiting Dutch Painter , Unfortunately i don't remember the name of the painter. But will update it as soon as i know.

PS: the copyrights for this artwork are not known. I will update the space if i know of it..

Dussehra is a unique festival celebrated all over India for different reasons & with different ways of celebration. We all celebrate this festival to mark the victory of good over evil. This fest is mainly important to the Hindus. This festival is celebrated for 10 days with Saraswati Puja (The 9th day)being the most important.

Vijayadashami (Bengali: বিজয়াদশমী, Kannada: ವಿಜಯದಶಮಿ, Malayalam: വിജയദശമി, Marathi: विजयादशमी, Nepali :विजया दशमी, Tamil: விஜயதசமி, Telugu: విజయదశమి) also known as Dasara (also written Dussehra) Bengali: দশেরা, Kannada: ದಸರ, Malayalam: ദസറ, Marathi: दसरा, Telugu: దసరా) and Dashain (in Nepali), is a festival celebrated in varying forms across Nepal and India. It is celebrated on the tenth day of the bright fortnight (Shukla Paksha) of the Hindu autumn month of Ashvin or Ashwayuja, and is the grand culmination of the 10-day annual Navaratri (Sanskrit: नवरात्रि, 'nine nights') festival. It is the largest festival of Nepal, and celebrated by Hindu and non-Hindu Nepalis alike.

Vijaya Dashami also known as Dasara, Dashahara, Navaratri, Durgotdsav... is one of the very important & fascinating festivals of India, which is celebrated in the lunar month of Ashwin (usually in September or October) from the Shukla Paksha Pratipada (the next of the New moon day of Bhadrapada) to the Dashami or the tenth day of Ashwin.

In India harvest season begins at this time and as mother earth is the source of all food the Mother Goddess is invoked to start afresh the new harvest season and to reactivate the vigor and fertility of the soil by doing religious performances and rituals which invoke cosmic forces for the rejuvenation of the soil.

On the day of Dasha-Hara, statues of the Goddess Durga are submerged in the river waters. These statues are made with the clay & the pooja is performed with turmeric and other pooja items, which are powerful disinfectants and are mixed in the river waters. This makes water useful for the farmers & yields better crops.

Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Hindawi (Hindu) Swarajya - Maratha Empire used to always worship Lord Shiva & Goddess Durga in the form of goddess Bhawani before any military expedition. Goddess Bhavani had blessed Shivaji Maharaj with her own sword called “Bhavani Talwar” on this blessed day.

Buses, trucks and huge machines in factories are all decorated and as Dasha-Hara is also treated as Vishwakarma Divas - the National Labor Day of India.

Veda Vyasa is considered as the foremost Guru and Vijayadasami is also celebrated as Vyasa puja.

Dasha-Hara is the festival of Victory of Good over Bad, God over Devil.
