September is always a difficult month and through the years of healing the waves are still relentless; I’m still learning to ride out the tides of life. One thing that’s gotten easier over the years is being open about my past struggles and reclaiming my life - with this comes the responsibility of shining a light on suicide and mental illnesses. I’m not sure where to go with it, or how best to begin the conversation but I’m starting with creating some art to process and share my journey. Being a part of SL was a way for me to get out of my own head, and also unpack what was in my head.
To those reading this: thank you for being here.
If you’re struggling, you’re not alone.
If you’re looking for a sign, this is it, you deserve healing and happiness.
To those who are part of my SL: I am forever grateful to how you’ve touched my first life and helped me carry on.

Der Eiserne Steg ist eine erstmals im Jahre 1868 erbaute Fußgängerbrücke in Frankfurt, die über den Main führt und das Fahrtor mit dem Stadtteil Sachsenhausen verbindet. Der Steg wurde 1912 durch eine vergrößerte Konstruktion ersetzt, die in den letzten Tagen des Zweiten Weltkrieges gesprengt, 1946 wieder aufgebaut und 1993 grundlegend saniert wurde.

The Eiserner Steg (English:Iron footbridge) is a footbridge spanning the river Main in the city of Frankfurt, Germany, which connects the centre of Frankfurt with the district of Sachsenhausen.
The first wrought iron bridge was built in 1868. It was replaced in 1911/1912 by a slightly larger cantilever bridge. It is 170 metres long and consists of riveted steel trusses with two bridge piers. The bridge was blown up by the Wehrmacht in the final days of World War II, but it was rebuilt shortly afterwards in 1946. It was fully renovated in 1993.
