The sun sets behind the SpaceX rocket assembly complex as night shift employees drive to the launch facility up the road.
Another shifted composition. This is a side view of the building that once served as the locomotive shops for the Monessen Southwestern Railway.
I'm a night owl so I am always the last one to go to sleep. One of my duties is to make the night rounds. I make sure everything is in it's place and secure. I peek my head in and make sure children and dogs are safe in their beds. The problem with being a night owl is we often breed other night owls. This is how I found things after midnight...
Rosie was talking to "nobody" and Bean, looking slightly disoriented by the camera angle, doesn't seem to know which way is up.

We're Here - Shadows
Wind-sculpted textures of the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes in Death Valley National Park, where shifting sands echo the movement of water across a vast desert landscape. Side-lit by low-angle sunlight, the intricate ripple patterns and flowing contours reveal the constant, unseen forces that shape this environment over time. The interplay of light and shadow transforms the dunes into an abstract study of motion, rhythm, and impermanence. In this fleeting moment, the desert’s surface becomes a quiet record of nature’s invisible currents at work.
My first Tilt-Shift on a picture that I took last year in Italy.
Let me know what do yu think about it.

This is the CTA (Chicago Transit Authority) "Holiday Train", which I spotted crossing the Chicago River in December 2019. I gave the shot a tilt-shift treatment using Snapseed.
The Holiday Train is a Chicago 'L' train which traditionally runs during the winter holidays, from November to December. Six cars are traditional passenger cars adorned with seasonal decorations and bright lights. The interior of these cars are adorned with multi-color lights, red bows, garland, and red and green overhead lighting. The hand poles are transformed into inedible candy canes. Santa Claus rides on an open-air flatcar and waves to the passengers coming aboard from his sleigh.
Celebrated a friend's birthday at his family's farm in Gloucester last weekend and camped there for the night. Luckily I woke up early enough to see the fog before it lifted. It was the best weekend!
Another SVR night time shot that I really like.
A picture that could so easily have been taken 50 years ago had it not been for the high vis one guy was wearing - which is why I converted to black and white.
Really pleased with the outcome, it captured the look and feel I was aiming for.

Lomo Turquoise was always a film stock that I never planned on getting around to trying, but after hearing that a simple 180° hue shift of the positive makes it look almost like Aerochrome, I immediately bought a roll to see if that was really the case.
I have to say that I am very happy with the results. Sure, it isn't 1:1 Aerochrome, but I'm also not paying 8x10 sheet film prices for a roll of 35mm, so I'll take it.
The effect seems to work a lot better outdoors with a lot of light, where it gives much more vivid reds. Indoor shots end up leaning a lot more dark magenta instead, which is an interesting look in its own right.
I shot this roll at 400 iso, so maybe 100 or 200 would be better for anything indoors or generally low-light.

First attempt at tilt-shift photography. The idea is to create the impression that you are viewing a model. There are basically two methods. The first is to buy a specialist lens, the second is via software use. If you would like to know more see the link below.

This link shows a video using approximately 6000 tilt shift photos which is a must see.
