The First Nations people have feasted here for many years and some people say that the whole shoreline of the Gorge and Selkirk Water is composed of layer upon layer of shell midden.

This shell was found off the beach near Applecross in Scotland. I was quite surprised to find it, but not half as suprised to how cold the water was.

used some shells from the store and the beach and sprinkled on some glitter for shine. nothing is glued just propped together. This would be pretty on a wreath too- I've got several grapevine wreaths that are sprayed white I just haven't glued the shells on yet...someday!!

Ever since she's learned to hold her breath and "dive" under water, she's gotten more adventurous and will go into deeper water in search for shells.
