A friend gathered these while we were walking on the beach. Several nested so nicely I thought it was worth saving!

Shell Spring, Sapphire Group, Biscuit Basin, far-northwestern Upper Geyser Basin, Yellowstone Hotspot, northwestern Wyoming, USA in August 2011.
The complex of irregular, pustulose geyserite knobs here somewhat resembles the interior of an articulated tridacnid bivalve shell.

パラ、ソット、トロのそれぞれの違いとか懐かしそうに話してくださいました。

This one took some time coming together but I like the overall feel. I'm still wrestling with the oil medium a bit given how long it has been since I picked up a brush.
Believe it or not this was not taken at the beach but at Tredegar House. They had sand and shells edging their flowerbeds.
A shelling demonstration being held in a field. I remember going out with my Dad as he shelled the excess corn for the farmers. This after their cribs had been filled.
Finally have some free time!
So possibility to upload - I hope more - photos.
This one is from few weeks ago when I where on the beach in Noordwijkerhout - Netherlands.
Like go to the beach because there are always interesting things to see.

they are all the same. simply waiting to be
noticed and picked up..

A nice Minneapolis-Moline "D" that I found on an auction site. The sheller has been well maintained and the ad said it it still ran very well.
