It's snowed all day today. Not loads, but it's still coming down now : ( Fed up of snow, I want spring!
Decided to photograph food this week as someone at work moaned that I was talking too many shots of flowers :-P
These are mine, and yes I was eating them as I went. Nom nom nom ^_^
I've got loads of ideas, but most of them are low key so I thought I'd have a break from that for a week or so as most of last weeks shots were quite dark.

Comments appreciated :)
The familiar and yet still captivating scene of the white house near the crumbling cliffs of Arnarstapi with the towering Mt. Stapafell behind.
The clearing mist unviels the rolling landslip around Mam Tor as a lone figure emerges along the ridge. The landscape as the artist of atnosphere.
An aerial perspective on the cold beauty of JΓΆkulsΓ‘rlΓ³n Ice Lagoon in Iceland. The patterns in the distant mountain align to the texture of the grit lines in the ice. The ice takes the form of small mountains concealed below the deep blue waters. A magical winter land which proves our imagination exists somewhere.
An icon before it's time., constructed no doubt as a simple small church, now an iconic photography destination. You never can predict how anything you leave behind will be transformed in the future.

Another Tuesday swirly shot. So much easier this time as I *kind of* knew what I was doing (first try is here).

The weather said it would be nice this morning. The weather lied.
Got up nice and early to go to Ladybower, only to find it overcast, misty and drizzly. Decided to stick it out for about an hour and see if I could make the best of a bad situation seeing as I'd gone to the effort to get up early and go there.
However both numbers were correct before I pressed Upload. Got to take your victories where you can ;-)
Looking down on the ice blue waters of JΓΆkulsΓ‘rlΓ³n glacial lagoon. The slow moving yet constantly transforming icebergs create ever new patterns.
A photo taken from a vantage point of somebody's driveway. YEs somebody in Sheffield lives in a house with this spectacular view everyday. Given it's posisition it will see the sunrise nearly all year round the view stretches for miles towards the city and Peak District. If anyone would like to purchase this house for me to live in I could repay you with thousands of photos as no doubt evey morning paints a different view.

Woke up today to ALL THE SNOW EVER. Thanks for that spring.
Been snowing lightly all day, so I decided to give high key portraits a go as the snow would sort out the background for me : P

Alternative title: Nothing like being an idiot and going outside in winter when it's about 5 degrees C in nothing but a dress when you're normally really cold and can't get warm inside in several layers with the heating on.
Didn't think it had quite the same ring to it though : P
Have been wanting to try this for a while, and was inspired by Mr Beard's shots the other day to pull my finger out and give it a go.

Someone at work lent me her marbles... I'm not sure what happened to mine, I think I lost them at an early age

June is going to be a surreal month (in terms of photography).
There are various things about this shot that I would have done differently in hindsight (wonderful thing), but I was en route to a party, using the OH as a tripod whilst trying to tell him how I wanted it composed, pressing the remote shutter and posing!

Went out with the Tek Gud Photos gang for our first pub meet up - Danbo came along just for the ride : )

University of Sheffield, The Arts Tower.
The closet thing to a new york city sky scraper Sheffield has seen (I don't count the horrid looking flats on Arundel Gate).

Shine A Light: a exhibition of the work of Sheffield-based photographer Chris Saunders at Trafalgar Warehouse in Sheffield, Sunday 29th September 2019. I first came across Chris when he photographed Richard Hawley for Sandman Magazine in 2005 and I've been a fan ever since!

Today it is quite nice and warm out so I decided to go outside to the field near my house. After a bit of plodding about and being a bit disappointed I ended up pulling a dandelion up (it wasn't in the sun, how rude) and as I did the wind caught it.
Engage OMG-I-need-to-shoot-the-seeds-drifting mode.
Really rather difficult to be holding dandelion, camera, maintaining focus and waiting for a gust of wind.

Flapping around with my macro lens and my macro flash ring.
It's that time of the once every couple of months (??) when half term is looming and my roots are showing and my hair isn't as bright as it once was....
Have all the naps and dye all the things.
Half term in one more get up! WOOO!
Day 253: Sheffield By Night π Victoria Quays is a beaut spot & I will definitely be returning, so enjoy this snap from the other night, main image captured 2 mins before 12am π It was a mad rush to get this one for sure π #365project #uk_spinners #StarTrails #LongExposure #GlobalNightSquad #uk_shooters #NightCaptures #PhotosOfBritain #TravelWithBrendan #SocialSheffield #SheffieldPhotographer #UKPOTD #BrendanClaytonPhotography

I spent a good hour merging our faces together and giggling. The results are too horrendous to share so this will have to suffice.

Went for a walk this morning and took Danbo with us! Last night in preparation for the anticipated snow-pocalypse I crocheted Danbo a little scarf. Was considering going for a hat as well, but not too sure how that would look what with his little rectangular head.
I do love Danbo, I have no idea why I don't use him in shots more often!
