Rosy pastors are winter visitors here. They are garrulous and much given to gathering on electric wires, particularly in the morning and evening. Here they seem to be assembled to watch the sunset.
my mother warned me of these hours
she bears his scars
and yet here i am
waiting
black skies
sugary solitude
the perfect vacuum
and clean sheets
... soft and well worn cotton sheet was reborn as a shawl.

Case Study 2 - (View at larger size ) Here is a shoot from earlier this year. This was a very fast paced shoot. Main focus was to capture movement and the dynamic personality of the model. The poses that she hit were quick so keeping up with her was a wonderful challenge. Trying to anticipate the models models before taking the shot made the photos work. Hope this helps answer those questions about how to work with models and movement.

A photographer is above all someone who fails. Behind each successful picture lies a bunch of failures that came before or after. I never thought of showing the failed pictures I took before or after a photograph that I decided to keep in my portfolio, and I might change my mind about that. It's interesting to see something promising showing up in a scene, and its evolution until it reaches its climax.
I took these pictures in July 2013 on the banks of the Seine river. There was a couple near me, and as I felt something beautiful and photogenic was about happen, I decided to take a couple warm up shots before. Here they are, with the final picture on the right.
The forest tent caterpillar moth (Malacosoma disstria) is a North American moth found throughout the United States and Canada, especially in the eastern regions.
The larvae of this species are notorious tent caterpillars. Tent caterpillars do not make tents, but rather, weave a silky sheet where they lie together during molting. They lay down strands of silk as they move over branches and then travel along them like tightrope walkers. They follow pheromones secreted by other larvae rather than following the silk lines themselves. The caterpillars are social, traveling together to feed. The caterpillars live in deciduous trees, which they strip off leaves after emerging from their eggs. The adult moth of this species favors oak, sweetgum, tupelo, aspen, and sugar maple for oviposition, but the larvae can be found feeding on many other species of woody trees or shrubs. The females lay eggs in masses of up to 300, which are stuck to twigs and covered with a gluey cement called spumaline, which prevents them from desiccating and freezing. The eggs hatch the following winter. ( Wikipedia )

Never mind me – These Hearts
Mehhh, in the search for inspiration, trying to continue but with half force. Frustration is dangerous. But I see hope.
I took this upon waking up this morning. I am regretting not spending any time what so ever on my hair or outfit haha. That is what I get for deciding to experiment without a clear plan in mind.
Had a couple gully washers blow thru the last couple days,

I'm afraid I couldn't find any information on Scott's Orchestra of Cincinnati. Does the lettering on their bass drum say, "Phone Madisonville 721-L"?
Well, hold on. That number appears in the 1926-27 Cincinnati directory, and it's the home phone of Robert W. Scott, who ran Scott's Insurance Agency (802-803 Second National Bank Building). He lived at 5639 Bramble Avenue in Cincinnati.
By the 1930s, he was a realtor, still living at the same address.
Whoops. Robert W. Scott, husband of Ida M. Scott and father of Robert A. Scott, died suddenly on February 26, 1940 at his residence: 5639 Bramble Avenue, Madisonville.
Robert William Scott was born in Loveland, Ohio on April 6, 1895 and is buried in Miamiville, Ohio. On his World War I registration card, he gave his profession as "Musician." He was in the military from 1917 to 1919. In the 1920 census, he was working as a music teacher. And by the 1930 census, he was working in insurance.
Welp. Not the first musician I know of who ended up with a full-time day job. Here's to you, Robert.
This one is for the Bug for Christmas. I still need to do the finer features- mane, horns, tails and eyes.
After the Beatles left a hotel, the hotel would grab the sheets, towels, even the rugs on occasion and sell snippets to the collectors, etc. They had several more examples besides these.

The information sheet for this exhibit said that this particular engine with a generator set attached was built in 1949. It had been used in the Selly Oak Telephone Exchange, Birmingham. The engine design allowed for it to be made in 4, 5, 6, and 8 cylinder units with 2.73 litre per cylinder. The RW engine had also been used in some wartime Royal Naval vessels.
