This is my old friend Sheena Harold, who has died at the age of 80.
Sheena had been active in the Teddington Society here in west London for some 25 years – where, with colleagues, she organised and launched events that raised many thousands of pounds for local charities and good causes. She chaired the Society from 2015 to the time of her passing.
In addition to her Society work, Sheena did much more besides, not just in Teddington but also across the Borough of Richmond upon Thames. So it was entirely fitting that in 2017 she was presented with the Richmond Borough Community Award for her outstanding public service.
Sheena, a good friend for nearly 15 years, was by any measure unique, and an altogether remarkable woman. For anyone who knew, liked or loved her, she’s irreplaceable.
So this small tribute on Flickr is by way of expressing thanks for her unceasing activity, her devotion to the Teddington community, as well as her warmth, generosity, humour… oh, and the occasional glass of Prosecco, too, which never went amiss!
I took this photograph of Sheena at the Teddington Village Fair (of which she was so much a part) in 2016.
Little bit of white glue and some headsculpt plastic wrappings to keep the halves together while the glue sets.
Stay tuned.
Taking a look at the back of each faceplate. Sonja's faceplate on the left shows little residue in the grooves where the hairpiece mates with the faceplate. Sheena, on the other hand, left behind all kinds of gunk in that little groove.

2011 Australian Athletics Championships, Olympic Park, Melbourne.
This was my first DaisyTrail project posted on January 9, 2010. Surprise, surprise. It features my girl, Paris, along with her predecessor, Sheena. Paris is around eleven now and still going pretty strong. I consider every day with her a blessing as I did with Sheena.

Did my best to clean out the channel a bit more, which mostly involved some rather hair-raising work with an X-Acto knife in there. I didn't go too crazy because I like my fingers and I didn't manage to cut myself doing this.
Photo of my cat Sheena Of The Lake Side. Taken with a Polaroid SX-70 Model 1 land camera from 1973.

This was shot with two Canon 580EX II speedlights to camera right. Both speedlights were on FlexTT5s with a Mini on the camera.
Sheena says hello to everyone. It's been a while since she's had her photo taken, and I figured it was time for her to show up in my stream again.
