Being raised up on stumps and presumably having a wooden floor, I wondered if this had been a sheering shed. But it doesn't have any of the other characteristics of a typical sheep barber shop.
Westdale Rd, Dale.
D5283 alongside Derby shed on March 4th 1967.
The locomotive has been recently outshopped from Brush Works, Loughborough after accident repairs, along with D5021 & D5218.
All received blue/yellow livery, though D5021 & D5218 were released with small yellow warning panels and the lion & wheel emblem.
Thus D5283 maybe the first Class 25 repainted in blue livery with full yellow ends.
It is also running with one of the engine room windows sheeted over. The window would later be refitted.
The headcode 1T38 suggests D5283 has recently had its acceptance trial on the mainline after release from Brush.
