Men in Argentina are used to take their own knives to an "asado" (barbecue). Knives are made of silver, horn or wood. Sheath feets perfectly well the blade to prevent its owner to cur on it. The best blades for them are german´s "Arbolito"

The Golden Boy statue, carrying a sheath of wheat and a torch, facing north atop the dome of this magestic building is gold-plated bronze weighing about 3500 lbs, and measuring 17.2 feet tall. The statue was purchased from France in 1918 and placed in a ship's hold to be transported to Canada. But the ship was commandeered for service in World War I, and the statue stayed in the ship's hold until the end of the war making several trips back and forth across the Atlantic Ocean. It was eventually unloaded in Halifax Nova Scotia and made the approximately 4000 km trip by train to Winnipeg where it was placed atop the Manitoba Legislative Building on November 21, 1919.
I know I'm biased, but I think this is one of, if not the most beautiful provincal legislative buildings in Canada. And a truly fascinating building to explore both inside and out.

Black-legged Kittiwake / larus tridactyla. Farne Islands, Northumberland. 01/07/24.
'FEATHERS.'
My fifth trip out to the Farne Islands this summer and there were a lot of seabird chicks to be seen on the cliff ledges, which was great. Overcast, drizzly conditions weren't so great though.
This Kittiwake chick was beginning to develop its wing feathers, a process that seemed to cause some irritation. Here it was captured addressing the issue with its beak, rather like us scratching an itch I imagine. If viewed large you will notice some of the keratin feather sheaths had flaked off.
The parent bird stood really close, watching intently and offering protection to its offspring.

I very recently found out that the E stands for England and the A stands for America. I could never get the two spellings straight in my head before that.
Me trying on a nice black sheath dress at C&A in Erfurt. I was on a shopping trip with my friend Connie.
Hier probiere ich ein schönes schwarzes Etuikleid beim C&A in Erfurt. Ich war auf einem Einkaufsbummel mit meiner Freundin Connie.
Another nice Calvin Klein dress I got recenlty for work. Also, I matched my nails with some of the color of the dress and dyed my hair brown with auburn streaks. Hope you like the look!
