Looking Close... on Friday: Pushpins
This little guy holds our pushpins (we usually call them thumb tacks :) I don't even remember what his original purpose was ... he's done this for more years than I can remember :))
trying minimalistic landscape on Polaroid BLUE. I expected a little more sharpness...

If it comes to longlife and sharpness then there is Victorinox the best choice you can make!
Victorinox is a knife manufacturer and watchmaker based in the town of Ibach, in the Canton of Schwyz, Switzerland. It is well known for its Swiss Army knives. The Swiss Army knives made by Victorinox are made of a proprietary blend steel from Germany and France. Since its acquisition of rival Wenger in 2005, it has become the sole supplier of multi-purpose knives to the Swiss army. It is the biggest manufacturer of pocket knives in the world; in addition, the company licenses its logo for watches, apparel, and travel gear.

As it's getting colder and the sun comes up later in the morning and goes down earlier in the evening, the time of beautiful blossoms draws to close...
Enjoy the last days or maybe weeks of summer and also the beautiful autumn.

This sharp-shinned hawk was possibly taking a break from a migratory flight south when it roosted in a tree at the east side of my house yesterday. It spent several minutes busily preening itself, and every once in a while glancing around. It was a shame that the light was so bad. I would have loved getting sharper shots against a beautiful blue sky.

Clean shirt, new shoes
And I don't know where I am goin' to
Silk suit, black tie (black tie)
I don't need a reason why
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp-dressed man
Gold watch, diamond ring
I ain't missin' not a single thing
Cufflinks, stick pin
When I step out I'm gonna do you in
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp-dressed man
Top coat, top hat
And I don't worry 'cause my wallet's fat
Black shades, white gloves
Lookin' sharp, lookin' for love
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp-dressed man
It was a rather brief meeting with some short and sharp exchanges of opinions.

A Sharp-tailed Grouse (Tympanuchus phasianellus) arrives on the dancing ground or lek situated on the prairie landscape near Leader, Alberta, Canada.
A group of males will set up territories on the grassland and conduct a series of dances to mark out their limited territory or to draw the interest of a prospective mate.
This is the first of three images of the dancing ground encounter with this species.
