Part of a small pair of scissors, that has the shape of a crane. In full size it would be too big for the Macro Mondays theme: 'Sharp'.
Have a great start of this new week!!!
Happy Macro Mondays everyone ;-))

A territorial bird, the Sharp-shinned Hawk's name describes its flattened, thin tarsus or shank. This is the smallest of the North American accipiters; the female is larger than the male.

Smile on saturday theme "small part sharp".
Bosanemoon (Anemone nemorosa)
The bird was in my yard, several different perches most of the morning. Briefly it was out in the open so I was able to get a few photos out my front door. It flushed shortly after I took this photo but was back latter in the day. IMG_8124

Have a nice start of this week! ;-))
Photographed in my yard. Four photos of the same bird. If this is the same bird I photographed Feb. 5 it injured a toe sometime between the time I saw it Feb. 5 and Feb. 8. IMG_5865
Macro Mondays 'sharp' theme.
An extremely sharp rose thorn!
The image measures less than 1" in width.
I'm actually not sure if this is a male but I believe so based on it's size. Females are larger than males.
He is so handsome that the first thing that came to mind is the song Sharp Dressed Man for this incredible Sharp-shinned hawk.
People might say about you, the hard iron in the photo that just as people, sharp and no excuse. and you already knew that, and the best way to do is IGNORE them. all i wanted is to be yourself no matter what you've been through.
I found this bird in my backyard yesterday (10/31) eating a Halloween treat. The prey may have been a Dark-eyed Junco. Unfortunate for the junco but the hawk has to eat. Although it is hard to tell from the photo the hawk was under the canopy of a shrub on a dark mostly cloudy day so the photos are not as sharp as I would like. Yakima County, Washington. IMG_9536

Mes nouveaux crayons de couleur entourés d'un boudin à l'avant n'ont pas attendu les Fêtes de fin d'année pour montrer leur pointe bien aiguisée. #Macro #MacroMondays #Sharp

Macro Mondays theme for September 19 is "sharp".
This is a sharp knife I picked up at a Renaissance Faire many years ago.
The total frame is about 2 inches. I've placed a measurement photo in the first comment box. I also placed a full shot of the knife in case anyone is interested.

Macro Mondays theme: sharp -- sharp claws of the cicada shell emerged from the ground and the point of a headpin.
Thank you everyone for your kind comments and favs. All are greatly appreciated.
A woody perennial flowering plant of the genus Rosa, in the family Rosaceae. There are over three hundred species and thousands of cultivars. They form a group of plants that can be erect shrubs, climbing, or trailing, with stems that are often armed with sharp prickles. Flowers vary in size and shape and are usually large and showy, in colours ranging from white through yellows and reds. Most species are native to Asia, with smaller numbers native to Europe, North America, and northwestern Africa. Species, cultivars and hybrids are all widely grown for their beauty and often are fragrant. Roses have acquired cultural significance in many societies. Rose plants range in size from compact, miniature roses, to climbers that can reach seven meters in height. Different species hybridize easily, and this has been used in the development of the wide range of garden roses. 21981
Recently I have watched Sharp-shinned Hawks migrate down the west side of Lake Winnipeg. They are fun to watch because of their speed, their agility, and penchants to change altitude and turn sharply. Often they come at you from odd angles.
However, most of the shot opportunities are from considerable distance.
