An old photo of SQL and Flori sharing a spot of sunlight on the floor, which I decided to reprocess, it being Sunday - HSS!

600 mm. recortada.

- Nombre común: Abubilla

- Nombre científico: Upupa epops

- Familia: Upupidae

A bit too simple for many, I'm sure, but there's something about this scene that appeals to me :)

Blue Wildebeest sharing the little bit of shade a thorn tree has to offer at 9 in the morning.

A buck and a squirrel quietly share some corn. I believe this poor little squirrel was about to be lunch for a Great Horned Owl, but managed to get away. This is after he had been healing for months. The fur was torn off his face and shoulder with a puncture would right in the middle. I first called him 'Holy Moly' but soon after he became 'Padre'. He is still quite timid; can't blame him.

If you wish to better understand seemingly incomprehensible things, help another to better understand. If you wish to heal your own sadness or anger, seek to heal the sadness or anger of another"

Egocentric thoughts will only take us so far in life. It is in doing things for others that we find happiness.

Wild strawberry 'n' bugs

Topping up wine barrels during maturation. Wine will evaporate over time from a barrel (known as the angels' share). So, regular, slow and laborious topping up becomes necessary.

If not done, the wine will become exposed to much more oxygen and oxidise, which is an unwanted style.

Yellow is the most visible color of the spectrum and it’s the color that captures our attention more than any other color. Yellow is the color of happiness, and optimism, of enlightenment and creativity. In almost every culture yellow represents sunshine, happiness, and warmth. In this case, in addition to the striking yellow color of the petals, I captured reproductive organs of one flower - waiting to be fertilized, and that is why I named this picture "Share my life".

I opened a timothy hay bale this week and they weren't too keen on it as they love alfalfa the best. Alfalfa is sweeter and packed with protein but it was very cold and they were hungry. Thanks to Red (horse) my moose detector alerted me to them being in my gelding's horse shelter sleeping earlier so I had the cam handy. I was feeding my horses and had to stop what I was doing and move away or they would have been right up on me in a flash. Trust me, you don't want Mama moose in your business. In this moment the calf found a tasty morsel after thrashing through the hay with her front legs making a mess and the cow who always has one eye on her calf wanted her to share, the yearling took it away at first then decided to give some to her mom. Moose remind me of a donkey and giraffe all rolled into one in certain comical ways. They can be extremely curious and always reaching for the highest branch. I left them alone after this quick click and came back to feed my horses in an hour and they were gone. I don't have much time these days due to my second job but I thought I would share this story.

We saw him on our way to Alta Lake Whistler crossing the road a few times... may be checking which side of the grass is greener!!!

Many thanks to all those who view, fav or comment my pictures. I very much appreciate it.

In 1996 SD40-2-3316 was selected by Union Pacific and renumbered SD40-2-1896 to commemorate the first Summer Olympic Games held in Athens, Greece in 1896.

SD40-2-B3339 was also selected by UP and renumbered to-1996 to commemorate the twenty-sixth Summer Olympic Games held in Atlanta, Georgia, whose slogan was "Share the Spirit".

The two locomotives received special livery for the Atlanta Summer Olympics and pulled the Olympic Flame Special Train to Atlanta.

After the Olympics, UP assigned the 2 SD40-2s to general service for a few months before repainting them into traditional UP colors.

In June 1996, I stumbled across the pair waiting to be assigned to a train. Later that day I chased them across Iowa on a grain empty.

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. I just love to see complete strangers sharing a tiny space in the city. The smallest of gaps between them and how the body language shows that one is always a little more uncomfortable than the other. Enjoy!
