Each year, DDB Canada's offices showcases their culture of creativity by hosting Share DDB, a unique fundraising event where staff members contribute items to the silent auction. Items range from photography, paintings and handmade jewellery to rock-climbing lessons, sailing adventures, catered gourmet dinners and more. Anything that can be imagined (and made) can be submitted for staff, their significant others, clients, suppliers and invited guests to bid on.

The proceeds are split between two deserving charities selected by staff. Share DDB 2013 in Vancouver raised $25,000 for two very deserving charities, the James Lee Foundation and Music Heals.

Black-faced Woodswallows are as cute as they come fat and fluffy and perched in a huddle. They didn't seem to mind sharing their tree with some Budgerigars, but I have seen them annoying the big Raptors (who treat them with ignore). Go figure! Budgies don't need explaining, they are so common as caged birds around the world, but the Woodswallows have a blue tinge when viewed from behind and they have lovely white tail feather tips ... just a tad hard to photograph in flight ... next project!

Boston's annual Gay Pride Day parade is upbeat and only occasionally outrageous. There are so many LGBT participants, friends and supporters that it takes over an hour for all of them to march, stroll, or dance past. I took over 500 photos! See the entire set at www.flickr.com/photos/hickamorehackamore/sets/72157645460....

After a hard days work two ladies have their recess by chatting and picking lice ....which is a stark comparison to so called rich kitty party s and formal get togethers.......... clicked in Prinsep ghat

We had such fun during our afternoon with Sarah, Cadence and Ted. We met up at their favorite coffee place, then headed to Berger Park, right along Lake Michigan. Devin and Cadence ran willy-nilly all over the playground. It was exhausting watching them.

The streets of downtown West Chester exploded with excitement as hundreds of cyclists raced through this challenging circuit at speeds in excess of 35mph.

It’s the Iron Hill Twilight Criterium, one of the top races on the east coast!

The crowd cheered on national and local athletes as they pushed themselves to the limits of ability.

The Cyclingnews.com published gallery of the action can be seen here: www.cyclingnews.com/races/iron-hill-twilight-criterium-20...

Adding importance to this year’s event is the fact that the West Chester event was the ninth of ten races in the USA CRITS Championship Series, making it one of the last opportunities for riders to protect or improve their standings before the final invitational.

The action begins and ends at the intersection of Gay and High Streets, home of the title sponsor Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant.

About the route:

The Iron Hill Twilight Criterium is a 0.6-mile course over 8 city blocks on the streets of historic downtown West Chester, Pennsylvania, featuring four 90 degree turns and one short rise.

The Start/Finish Line is next to the Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant, the title sponsor, at the intersection of Gay and High Streets.

Photographer Dave Gill has been specialized in capturing key moments in bicycle racing for the better part of this decade, working extensively with Cyclingnews.com, Velonews.com, and Pezcyclingnews.com.

I also cover a wide variety of genre's beyond cycling, with images carried in the USAToday, NY Times, Washington Post, Raleigh News and Observer, Durham Herald, Economist, and the Huffington Post.

Next year I'm on tap to cover races in the continental United States, and am especially looking forward Tirrenno-Adriaco next spring in Italy.

Chow!
