The last of our 2 rescue animals [a pleasurable task we've been doing since the 1980's] sharing the winter sun through the window. It isn't often they get this close to each other but the lure of that sun necessitated such action! LOL
This is the now blind but very vocal Siamese cat & the quite scruffy "Heinz 57 variety" excuse for a dog [just kidding, of course, we wouldn't have him any other way!!!].
Including these 2, over the years we have now given a home to 4 dogs and 7 cats all of which spent quite a number of years with us. We hope they received as much pleasure from us as we have from them.

PITTSBURGH, Pa - Residents from the Pennsylvania Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Home (PSSH) in Erie, the Southwestern Veterans’ Center in Pittsburgh and the Hollidaysburg Veterans’ Home in Hollidaysburg participated in the annual Sharing and Caring Boat Ride on Tuesday, Sept. 5. The event included a catered lunch and entertainment during a mid-day cruise on the Gateway Clipper exploring the Allegheny, Monongahela and Ohio Rivers. PSSH Commandant Barb Raymond served as this year’s honorary Captain which included the laying of a ceremonial wreath and a salute from the Pittsburgh Fire Department.
