Mycalesis visala [ The Long-brand Bushbrown ]
The Long-brand Bushbrown (Mycalesis visala) is a species of satyrine butterfly found in Asia. It might include the Tamil Bushbrown as subspecies. It is one of several species of the genus Mycalesis found in Singapore. The butterflies are small, drab brown with a pale post-discal band on the underside of both wings, often with a wingspan not exceeding 50mm, and have multiple ocelli on both the upperside and underside of the wings. They tend to fly in semi-shaded environments, amongst grasses and undergrowth along the fringes of wooded areas. They are not fast-flyers, preferring to remain low in the undergrowth and stop with their wings folded upright. However, they are skittish, and not easy to photograph properly.
This is an old shot from my archive. Hope you like it guys! Cheers! Catch up with streams later.. :-)

At the daycare today, we have one ball for every three dogs. One of the lessons I try to teach the younger dogs, and Andie is helping me to teach Merckx, is that sharing is important.
Jimmy Dean had the sunny spot but Frank squeezed in. Jimmy Dean is good about sharing, as long as he can still get a little sun on his face.
My boy sharing his brolly with his best friend on the way home from school. It really was a miserable grey day, but I was warmed by the fact that my lad told me he was being nice and sharing. Yay, he's finally learning to be generous with things and has given his friend some shelter from the rain.
I never understood what the draw of these pacifiers was, but the moment I put it in my mouth, I knew my life was changed forever.
It's all about sharing with your best friend. That favourite stick is so much nicer if you share it!

Our Daily Challenge - "Come On In"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As humans, we are designed to communicate. We communicate to survive. We communicate to assert ourselves. We communicate to form relationships. Without communication, ours would be a dull race; one of perpetual internal reflection, and perhaps an overwhelming desire to know what is in another's head.
A result of our ability to communicate is a strong pursuit in a direction that is the polar opposite of isolation. To this effect, almost every person I've met has wanted to share something with me, whether it be some insight, something they'd created or accomplished, or simply something they needed to externalize.
If you think about it, what good is an accomplishment if it doesn't involve others? What good is learning to cure cancer if this cure can't be communicated with and applied to others? What good is speaking ten languages if there aren't any listeners? In the very same way, a collection of photos is not very interesting if kept private. Sharing my photos is a way through which I communicate with the world -- a large part of how I communicate what I'm feeling, thinking, or experiencing at any given moment.
For me, or any photographer, to keep all of their photos hidden away on some obscure hard drive or in a dusty old photo album, is a waste! This guy apparently feels the same way, as he spent an hour or so without taking a single photo, but instead choosing certain people to share his photos with. This individual seemed particularly interested; she commented (both verbally and using gestures, as above) enthusiastically on what he had to show her.
He "let her into" his perspective of the world, and as a result, the two shared something wonderful together. That's the way it's meant to be done!
"Shared Space" is a tool that allows scenographers to create virtual sound spheres in any space in a museum. This new experience offers the public the possibility to merge more deeply with works of art. While wearing headphones, the visitor is at the center of every sound. Depending on their location in the museum, the visitor can focus on a specific sound, story, or sound texture. In this way, senses other than sight, may be aroused and stimulated.

Add a patched Southern Pacific AC4400CW to the list of funky stuff that has led CP 281 out of Bensenville lately. The former SP 288 looks a little pinkish in the nose, but at least that trailing CP GEVO wasn't in the lead.
Sharing a moment...a mother and daughter. Looking out over the smaller pond at Shelby Farms this past summer. Just a picture that I thought brought about the feelings of love and protection. Am running sooooo late this morning. Mr. Riley's tummy has been upset all night and this morning so, have been taking care of him. Now must finish getting ready for work! Have a wonderful Sunday.
Update: Mr. Riley was feeling better right before I left. Wonders of medicines! :) Thank you all for the well wishes!

The other day we were getting ready to go out to the store. Right before leaving I noticed I havnt had anything for breakfast. All of us ready to go I asked them for a minute, stuck a toast in the toaster and tried to hurry to get out. After I looked around to see what my munchkins were up to, I hardly wanted to leave anymore. They had a bowl full of cookies just sat down in the kitchen and shared one after another with eachother.
Im learning so much with this project, one of the best things this year by far. Some days are hard, hardly an image, other days are full of beauty(ful images).
