My wife begs to differ, and insists that it’s Taylor Ham. This is the argument that divides north from south here in New Jersey. This restaurant in Seaside Heights places itself firmly in south Jersey. Hasselblad 500cm, Shanghai GP3 100 (220 format), Rodinal 1:50.
Every shore town in southern New Jersey has at least one Fudge Kitchen. This one is in Ocean City. Hasselblad 500cm, Shanghai GP3 100 (220), Rodinal 1:50.
One of the medium format images I will tape to anti-newton ring glass and redigitize at 1:1 with image stitching to see how much detail is actually here. The essential film holder is fast, but doesn't keep roll film flat enough.
I took the Pentax 67 to Seaside Heights on Friday. After a few shots I realized that the film wasn’t advancing, so I put it away. It was loaded with 220 film by Shanghai and the leader had become detached from the film. So all the shots I’d taken to that point were on the same piece of film.
This piece of film.
I think this is a quintuple exposure. I’m amazed that it wasn’t simply a white blob.

This year I'm using a different film format each month, starting with the smallest and working my way up through the sizes. The format for September is 127 roll film which was introduced in 1912. Narrower than 120 film, it allowed for smaller more pocketable cameras to be made, perhaps most famously the Kodak VP (Vest Pocket) also known as the soldiers' camera because many of them were used during the First World War (1914-18).
This was taken using a Korelle 3x4cm camera, which dates to the 1930s.

This is an entire roll of Shanghai shot continuously. Worked out for the best really, you can't read the freaking numbers on Shanghai anyway!

This used to be Anthony and Jimmy’s. Then they moved across the street and hired a bunch of young kids. Then they retired, the place across the street shut down and a couple of the young kids moved back here. This was where I went, starting when I was a teenager, until they went appointment only.
