The metal 'rod' in the foreground is used to keep the window open. The only other place I've seen such a contraption was at my late grandparents' place.

2015-7

I got a chance yesterday to take my Kiev 88 out with my Jupiter 36 250mm lens. This is a pretty heavy kit to be carrying around shooting hand held, but it was so nice out I figured it was worth trying. This lens REALLY flares bad in bright light, so much so that I am not sure how much I can use it. For the price its still a good deal, I will just have to try to keep my shots under control.

There are a few tough months ahead, but once they are over things should improve significantly on the creative front, I hope. The only thing that keeps me tied to the desk now is the need to bring in the lolly and for some reason that just seems to be getting harder and harder to do.

Here's to more creative times.

On Wednesday I finaly began the 100 portraits project I was thinking for a long time. I've got the idea from Hobgrumble, one of the best photographers you could find on flickr, and after few "tries" to start it (none of them went well) I shot this portrait. The girls nickname is (as she wrote in my notebook): Kataryna, but I'm almost sure I heard a name: Katarzyna name is Katarzyna. She was very cute and few seconds of talk with her were very nice, I gave her the address of my account, so she may see it and be angry over the rather bad quality of the photo... but I like it and hope someone else will too. I'm aware that according to the rules I should learn more about her, but I felt a little awkward and she was in a little hurry from what I've seen. I've meet her when I was walking back from my University and shooting a test roll of Shangahi GP3. We talked about the project and she found it interesting.

I kinda hope, that I'll be able to shot her again someday - IMHO she looks very nice on photograph.
