Testing out the newly acquired (old) Carl Zeiss Sonnar 150mm f4.0 lens strapped on the Hasselblad.

This was shot wide open at 1/15th on Shanghai GP3 100 iso film eveloped in HC-110 dilution "B" for 7.5 minutes.

Also Karl Johan. In times past the motorbikes parked here with impunity. Now the electric cars are taking up the fight.

Flexaret Va, Shanghai GP3, EI 160, YF, Caffenol-C-MRS (re-used) 13min @ 20C

My first effort with GP3 in Caffenol. A new variant (to me) of the developer too. Regular C-C-M with Reduced Sodium content, 40g/l vs 54g/l normally.

I am not one for taking shots of flowers but I thought this lone flower would provide a good opportunity to explore the DOF and bokeh capabilities of the Carl Zeiss Planer T* 80mm lens on the Hasselblad.

Shanghai GP3 film developed in Rodinal 1:100 stand for 1 hour, 4 swirls on each minute for the first 6 minutes, another 4 swirls @ 30 minutes @ 20"C

I think this was room 3 of the Memorial focusing on WWII. I did a wide angle shot to get the water features and the scattered blocks.

A little break from all of the recent "Camera Porn" ...

Testing out the newly acquired (old) Carl Zeiss Sonnar 150mm f4.0 lens strapped on the Hasselblad.

Shanghai GP3 100 iso film developed in HC-110 dilution "B" for 7.5 minutes.

Not sure if anyone has had the same issues with Shanghai but on rare occasions, the paper backing of the film seems to come through on the image ... strange, almost like the design on the paper was exposed directly on the film ... i added a not above where you can see it.

Negative Lab Pro v2.2.0 | Color Model: B+W | Pre-Sat: 3 | Tone Profile: LAB - Hard | WB: None | LUT: None

Shanghai film is so bad, you sometimes get the backing paper transposed onto the negative

2016-May

A common theme or element in my Greenbelt series seems to be the ease with which people discard or abandon homes, farms, TV's and yes ..... even bags of shit !!!

Just what I want to see in a protected area, a bag of dog shit that someone has nonchalantly throw beside the path for everyone to enjoy as a piece of beautiful scenery in the protected Ontario Greenbelt.

Mamiya RB67 & Shanghai GP3 100 shot at f3.8 @ 1/125th

1. 5 minute presoak in water (20'C)

2. Rodinal 1:100 ( 5mL to 500mL ratio) @ 20 'C

3. Initial agitation for first 45 seconds

4. 5 gentle rolls on each minute for next 6 minutes

5. 1 gentle roll at 30 minute mark

6. let stand for remaining 30 minutes for a 60 minute total development time

Don't step in it!!!

"Night Moves" series

I finally got my Bronica ETRS up and running as the 220 film back was sticking. The new 120 film back arrived in the mail so i quickly slapped in a roll of Shanghai GP3 as I have been itching to put this camera through a workout.

I am very impressed with the quality of the Zenzanon MC 75mm f2.8 lens on this camera. With the 6 x 4.5 cm negatives it produces, the quality really stands out with the larger negative.

f5.6 @ 1/250

Shanghai GP3 developed in Rodinal 1:50 for 15 minutes @ 20'C, 30 second initial agitation with 5 turns on every minute.
