A flashback to rural village life near Xihe Coal Mine in Shandong Province in 1999, with 97712 'Shengli No.4' ('Victory No.4') approaching the line's summit and crossing point, heading a loaded train from the mine on 16 November. This 0-10-0 was based on an Orenstein & Koppel 0-10-0 tank design supplied to Ting Shatun Mine in China between 1923 and 1930, subsequently being rebuilt as tender locos in 1952. This one had the repair date of 97712 stencilled on the rear of the tender. The 4 kilometre metre gauge line connected Xihe mine with the town of Dakunlun, which is some 29 kilometres south west of Zibo. Sadly the line closed shortly after this visit.

Li Bai,Wandering In Shandong.

Or is it Li Po?

How many names did you have my friend?

The Tang Dynasty,

Never had a poet like you,

Romantic was your true last name,

No pictures exists of you,

Which is good,

Adds to your mysterious nature,

Wandering before the age of cameras,

Not before the age of poetry,

Po, Bo, Bai, Pai,

What is in a name?

701 was the year in which you arrived,

To give verse to the tress,

Flowing water all around,

Li Po you loved to drink,

The poetry in the cup,

Can anyone call a poet drunk?

Maybe your secretly working on another verse,

In another state of mind,

To find dreams that were long lost,

Sorrows that wish to be forgotten,

Li Bo how much wandering must you do?

What dreams are you looking for?

Another poem,

A woman that will warm your heart,

As the midday sun,

Li Po your emotions run deep,

Deeper than the waters of the Dongting Lake,

Li Bai it must of weighed heavily on you,

To have a death sentence placed on you head,

Death sentence was commuted,

Instead exiled to Yelang,

Don't worry by friend,

You shall be pardoned,

Before you ever see that land,

Some say you died from your hard living ways,

Legion has it that you loved the moon too much,

Leaped into the Yangtze River,

Trying to give the reflection of the moon a hug,

Drowned from such a act,

In 762,

Much too young to leave this world of ours,

O Li Po, Li Po,

Tonight when I glazed upon the moon,

Pouring me a thing from the cup,

I toast you my friend ,

A poet that loved ,

The moon too much.
