Candid street photography from Glasgow in Scotland. I caught this young woman in mid spin, catching the movement in her strikingly dyed hair and I love that her coat really picks out the loose strands that have fallen.
Enjoy full screen by pressing 'L' and thank you all for your kind comments and views that have lead to an occasional Explore or two. They are greatly appreciated!
Five CP Rail EMDs shake things loose in Rondout tower as they thunder west in 1996. About to bang across the EJ&E diamond, SD40-2 5747 was leading the pack.
To quote the Flamin' Groovies, that Action Red paint on that lead motor, "Shake some action's what I need, to let me bust out at full speed".
3rd August 2019- David of Manchester based 'Bones Shake' brought "A scuzzed fuzzed blues" vibe to Jimmy's in Liverpool. These lads were first on by virtue of the least social media 'Likes' (a strange stipulation in my eyes, but then, i'm 48..) but they manged to captivate an early audience. Starting your set by casually wandering through the crowd with a megaphone blarring an American Police siren generally tends to grab peoples attention!!
Funny bird. I was lucky to take that picture of a white-breasted Nuthatch giving himself a body shake.
Was taken at Mud Lake in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
This Osprey was preening and I caught it just as it was shaking at Peace Valley Park, New Britain Pa.
One Muscovy Duck baby is practicing how to shake off his wet feathers after they all took a brief dip in the lake.
Oooh boy, it's been a while since I've posted a photo on flickr. My apologies. Life has been busy for me and I didn't pick up my camera for awhile. BUT, I've finally gotten around to uploading some pictures from my memory card to my computer, so of course I had to come onto Flickr and post a picture.
This is a Double Shack burger. Two beef patties, cheese, tomato, lettuce, Shack sauce between two buttery buns. Deeeeelicious. Shake Shack is the East Coast's In-N-Out. I've never tried In-N-Out, but if it's anything as good as Shake Shack, I'm a fan.
This picture was taken back in January when I met up with a friend for an adventure in NYC. When he told me he had never tried Shake Shack, I immediately made plans to go to the Upper West Side location. We went, we ate, we conquered.
I love me some Shake Shack.
Stack of sulkava´s churc is getting new shake roof.
A shake is a wooden shingle that is made from split logs. When these are used for covering the top of a house, the result is a shake roof. Many churches in Finland has a shake roof.
Oh.. I can almost feel that wonderful smell of tar...
Or maybe... Stick. Sea. Swim. Repeat.
There is nothing Purple loves more than swimming to fetch sticks from the sea. Soaking me is a close second though.
Kael, shaking on the dock.
Not my best shake photo ever, but I think the backlit water sparkle bokeh and water droplets add a little feeling of mystery.
Ah, summer at the lake. Can't wait for it to come around again.

Out of curiosity, (and to see if anyone actually reads this shit..) has anyone ever seen the movie 'Midnight Express'?

Shot for this week's Macro Monday challenge: Windowsill
This small solar powered Santa/Father Christmas has been sitting on a windowsill here for over three years; he is still moving his body, arms and head from side to side, but his front side is very faded.
In total he is 4" tall, but what is shown here is just over 2½ inches.
The white line is the window frame and further in the background is a paling fence (about 2.5-3m away).
