Plumeria (frangipani) flowers are most fragrant at night in order to lure sphinx moths to pollinate them. The flowers have no nectar, and simply dupe their pollinators. The moths inadvertently pollinate them by transferring pollen from flower to flower in their fruitless search for nectar.
Plumeria species are easily propagated by taking a cutting of leafless stem tips in spring and allowing them to dry at the base before inserting them into soil. They are also propagated via tissue culture both from cuttings of freshly elongated stems and via aseptically germinated seed.

Simpoh Air or Shrubby Dillenia has large leaves, and large yellow flowers. The flowers open at 3 am and last only a day. The ripe fruit splits open also at 3 am, into pinkish star-shaped segments to reveal seeds covered in red arils. The plant blooms from age 3-4 and can live for 50-100 years! The Simpoh Air sends out very deep tap roots to reach underground water sources. The tree is used to detect water as it always grows near water. The special thing about this useful plant is that the leaves can be used to wrap food and can also be used by tailor birds to make nests.
Simpoh Air is used to staunch bleeding wounds, and the fruit pulp may be used to wash the hair (Brunei).

~ in a cycle of our lifetime, sometimes we are up there flying high, and sometimes we are down.
If people said life isn't fair, I think it's fair.. we won't be up there forever or down here suffering the rest of our life as well..
Thus, be grateful of what we have while we are up there, and don't give up life easily when the going gets tough... as our fate will always rotate like the ferris wheel does... ~

The traveler's palm is one of nature's most distinctive and remarkable plants. Although this plant is called a palm; it is not a true palm. It grows up, to 40" tall, while the big banana-like leaves can grow up to 15" long. The leaves are arranged in a fan-shaped manner; it has a rather short, palm like, trunk. The small white flowers are held in bracts. In these bracts and leaf folds, rainwater is collected. The fruits are brown while the seeds are blue. The traveler's palm tolerates sandy and clayey soils with good drainage, and thrives in rich, moist and loamy soils. Light: The traveler's palm thrives and grows best in full sun but also grows well in part sun/shade. Small plants should be shaded until well established. The traveler's palm requires a lot of light, especially when grown indoors. Moisture: Soils should be moist and have good drainage to yield optimal growth. Hardiness: USDA Zones 10 - 11. Propagation: The traveler's palm may be propagated by seeds or by division and replanting of the attractive clumps (or suckers) formed at the base of the plant.
