A unique designer dress made entirely of condoms and owned by the International HIV/AIDS Alliance.
It was created by Adriana Bertini, a Brazilian artist living in São Paulo. She uses condoms that have either expired or have failed the quality control test.
The dress is inspired by classical French night dresses c.1914. It took over 238 hours to make and is made up of 7,630 condoms.

National Women's Health Network,
Resource Guide 6, 1980
The sixth resource guide of the 1980 series published by the National Women's Health Network concerns DES (diethylstilbestrol), a synthetic estrogen prescribed to women, usually during pregnancy, from the time of its discovery in 1938 and even after it was banned by the FDA in 1971.
As this guide details, direct exposure to DES increases the risk of breast cancer, while exposure in utero may lead to cancer or physical disabilities.
In addition to documenting the effects of DES, this guide also provides resources and information for mothers and daughters who have been exposed.

some of the humans i know in real life know that i work broadly in the sexual health arena. one of the groups i am affiliated with is conducting a survey of men's sexual health, so i came up with a couple of images for them to use in getting the word out about the study. the concept and design work are mine, as are the hands and other body parts, and the shot was taken by a friend on, of all things, a cellphone camera.

There's been a lot of scary news regarding retracting women's health policies lately, even here in Canada. I do not approve. Turning back the clock on women's rights is a massive step in the wrong direction. Women's rights are civil rights! First they come for us, then they come for you.

On Feburary 18, our representatives in the House voted to pass the Pence Amendment, which if made into law, will strip Planned Parenthood of all its federal funding. This would prevent Planned Parenthood and 102 affiliated organizations from receiving any federal funds—including money for contraception, cancer screening, STD testing and treatment, education, and more. The Pence amendment would cut off 48% of Planned Parenthood patients—approximately 1.4 million people—from their source of health care.
We need to remember that this whole issue is not about abortion. Because of the Hyde Amendment, Planned Parenthood abortions aren't federally funded. The Pence Amendment threatens to cut funding from all the other services Planned Parenthood provides--contraception, cancer screening, STD tests and treatment, family planning counseling, education, and more. In addition, only 3% of Planned Parenthood's utilized services are abortions.
Each year, almost half of all pregnancies in the US are unintended, and about half of these end in abortion (about 1.3 million). About 1 in 3 women will have an abortion by the time they reach age 45. 88% of all abortions are obtained in the first 8 weeks. Less than 2% occur at 21 weeks or later.
All young adults and children should be aware of their sexual bodies and they should be given the opportunity to decide what is best for them. This means that schools need to start educating their students about sex at a very early age. Abstinence-only programs don't provide America's youth with the proper education to make these choices. Planned Parenthood does provide free information and helps young adults obtain contraceptives, so that when they do have sex, they will be safe.
