This group of students from Columbia High School in Hunters, WA created a multi-session sexual assault prevention program that the group delivered to their peers. The first day of presentations incorporates the story of Serria, a courageous survivor of childhood sexual abuse. The "Three Awesome Girls from CHS" dispel myths about rape and explain the continuum of violence. On the second day, students rotate between centers. Centers include: WCSAP Spin & Discuss Game, "Yes Means Yes ____ Means No" consent activity and "Things to Know Before You Say Go" Sort-a-Stack activity. The goal: prevent sexual violence by addressing underlying causes. Topics covered include: boundary setting, respecting consent, healthy relationships and more.

ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ: ਲੰਡਨ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਵੱਸੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਲੜਕੇ ਦੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਟਿਸ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਤਾ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈ ਲਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਜਿਣਸੀ ਸੋਸ਼ਣ ਦੇ 23 ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ’ਚ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਾਪਸ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਏਗਾ।
ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਕਾਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਆਰਐਸਡੀ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ’ਚ ਇਹ ਭਾਰਤੀ 1997 ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਤੋਂ ਬ੍ਰਿਟੇਨ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ 2004 ਵਿੱਚ ਬ੍ਰਿਟਿਸ਼ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਤਾ ਮਿਲੀ ਸੀ। 2011 ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ 7 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਣਸੀ ਸੋਸ਼ਣ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
‘ਸੰਡੇ ਟੈਲੀਗ੍ਰਾਫ’ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਬ੍ਰਿਟੇਨ ਦੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਨੇ 2003 ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ 2010 ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਲੜਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਣਸੀ ਸੋਸ਼ਣ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਜ਼ੁਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ 14 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਕੈਦ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਸੀ। ਉਮਰ ਭਰ ਲਈ ਜਿਣਸੀ ਅਪਰਾਧੀ ਰਜਿਸਟਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।
ਇਸ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ’ਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਟੇਨ ਦੇ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਤਾ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਟੇਨ ਦੀ ਨਾਰਗਿਰਕਤਾ ਲਈ ਅਰਜ਼ੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਲੁਕਾ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਨਾਗਰਿਕਤਾ ਖੋਹਣ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

Growing Great Girls is a gender-responsive life skills curriculum. The goal of the project is to empower young women to follow their dreams, lead and succeed...and to prevent intimate partner violence. With Growing Great Girls, “at risk” takes on a new meaning. The curriculum, aims to build the skills necessary for girls in our community to prosper. The curriculum touches on emotional knowledge, decision-making, critical thinking, self-discovery, media literacy, self-care, boundary setting and more. The project culminates with a trip to Spokane to meet local female leader/succeeders.
