Daily freight services hauled by classical East German diesel engines can be observed in Brandenburg. Here DB Cargo 232 005 in its "Polish" EWS livery crosses the Havel river south of Brandenburg-Altstadt station.
This was taken at 11:30pm when the park rangers are gone. They will not allow tripods. This is a 2 min. exposure at f4, ISO 1600. Canon 5DMarkII. I am walking through the image with two Canon strobe flashes to illuminate the names on the wall.

The 'Liz Ellis' is one of the new 'River' class of Sydney ferries. See:

I think they look ugly compared to the stately 'First Fleet' class of ferries. And they are no match for the beautiful, sleek 'Rivercat'. But anyway, that's just me.
