ServiceMaster staff stopped by the gym in December dressed in their holiday gear and unloaded many boxes of toys they'd collected. These fun gifts were sure to bring lots of smiles to children's faces Christmas morning.
I'm in a Big Country mood today. ServiceMaster should be arriving today to finish the job which means this should be the last of my dumpster SPs.

Facts About Fire and Your Property
👇
TIP NO. 1: VENTILATION
Immediately following a fire, focus on ventilation for the home. The professionals may not be on-site yet, but you can improve the situation. The professionals will bring in industrial fans for this purpose, but get the process started yourself. 👍
✅ Open the doors and windows.
✅ Use any fans within the home to move air out of the structure.
✅ Wear dust masks if you must be inside the home.
✅ Remove children, pets, and older residents from the premises. The particles in the air can be irritating to some people.

Spent the morning getting the best exercise in the garden with spring cleanup. So much more fun than standing on a treadmill or in a BORING exercise class. I remembered to use both sides of my body equally and do squats instead of bending everytime! Over my cold and feeling wonderful! I spied a few butterflies too. Blooming today--snapdragons, euphorbia, white iris, ice plant, and wild verbena. Though not in this shot. Transplanted 2 mini red roses, several French hollyhocks, started digging the strawberry bed, pulled out dead rose, moved red daylily.
Good news, the Servicemaster guys say the equipment will come out of the south end of the house tomorrow!
Excess moisture during this hurricane season can be detrimental to your home or business. Here are some quick mold safety tips:
✅ Act Fast. Mold can grow within 24-48 hours of water exposure. Start the cleanup process ASAP.
✅ Use Proper Gear. Wear gloves, goggles, and a respirator when cleaning mold to protect your health.
✅ Ventilate. Keep windows open and fans running to help dry out damp areas and prevent mold growth.
✅ Dispose of Affected Items. Some items, like carpets and upholstery, may need to be thrown away if they've been exposed to floodwater.
✅ Seek Professional Help. If the mold covers a large area, or if you're sensitive to mold, consider hiring professionals like ServiceMaster by Disaster Relief.
Stay safe this hurricane season! Remember to call ServiceMaster by Disaster Relief for assistance with mold remediation in Clearwater, FL, and nearby areas!

QUICK TIP TO AVOID WATER DAMAGE: Stop the water leak if possible
💧 Halt or limit the impact of the flood damage by stopping or reducing the ingress of water into the home or property.
💧 If the leak came from a burst water pipe or burst hot water service, locate the nearest water supply tap and shut it off. In certain instances, this may require a professional plumber and/or the building manager.
💧 If there is storm damage to ceilings or roofs, or water ingress via balconies or cracks in wall cavities, you may need the assistance of a builder or waterproofer to locate the source of the leak.

We chose to volunteer at a local 30-bed homeless shelter, The Good Neighbor. We were received with open arms by both the staff and residents in spite of all the noise we were making early on a Saturday morning. Due to flooding in the Carolinas, our team was short several volunteers who were out of town assisting with flood cleanup. However, thanks to the remaining dedicated volunteers, we were able to complete all of the tasks requested by the staff.
Our team did a thorough interior structure cleaning and deodorizing of the entire building and contents, cleaned all carpets, pressure washed the exterior of the building and walkways, and repaired all railing around the exterior or the facility. We provided the residents, staff and volunteers with breakfast and a delicious BBQ lunch, which was prepared by a local man famous for his BBQ skills. At our initial visit, we were told pillows were a desperate need, so we donated 30 new pillows and blankets so each resident would have a pillow and blanket as the cooler weather nears. We donated numerous personal hygiene items, and a local hair salon donated 30 free haircut vouchers for the residents. Several volunteers donated clothing, and one employee donated two handmade crocheted blankets that were placed in the common area for all to enjoy. It was a wonderful day of assistance and fellowship that was enjoyed by the residents, staff and volunteers.

✅ The use of dehumidifiers is an effective way to keep relative humidity levels in an acceptable range.
✅ Most indoor environments have a relative humidity of 40 to 50 percent when the temperature is between 68 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit.
✅ To prevent mold growth and reproduction, you need to resolve the source of any moisture intrusion.
