The Royal Air Force has been flying their Chinooks for a long time, with ZA681 being delivered to the service in June 1981 - 41 years ago!
However, over the years, the RAF fleet has been substantially upgraded.
This one was arriving at Fairford for the air tattoo and hovered in such a way as to show off the late afternoon sun to advantage.

I had promised to upload a shot of WCS195 which was for me the pick of the Strachans bodied AEC Regent Vs. It was the only example to lose it's maroon tween decks band and receive the elevated fleetname as shown here, although it retained it's smart maroon mudguards. Buses of the owner Hill were characterised by a silver star on the front grille.

This is my entry for RogueOlympics 2025 Round 2, with the topic "Ups! / Oops!". The RogueOlympics are a build contest by the RogueBricks Community, with each week featuring a new topic and a part limit of just 101 pieces (which I used exactly).
As you can see I chose a rather...literal interpretation of the topic and built the delivery van of a famous parcel service. It's not the most intricate construction but I made sure it's a fully built 4-wide and fits a minifig inside. The words on the side have been added in post-processing.

(Tech. note - Even allowing for the post processing, the fact that the modern digital camera was able record detail in the subjects' dark faces AND the white clothing, all under the harsh African sun just astounds me.)
