Hi, this is basically a quick test to see what i could get by moving the flash i have in different positions around the fly whilst taking the images.
For 3-4 hours today i tried to get some stacking done of quite a few different insects i had lined up, all of which failed because when i would get close to finishing, i would realise that part of the fly was out of shot meaning it had been moving slowly out of the lens as i was photographing it OR the tripod (broken) was shifting every time i wanted to focus on something else.
Although i was in a bad mood i decided to throw this together even if i wasn't happy with it. As always, i don't walk away from something unfinished, especially if it's artsy.
Plans -
New Tripod
Micro metre (auto)
DIY holder for rail
2x LED lamps for better lighting !
More patience when taking the photos :D
I would like to thank Gary (GeeTee55) and Craig Taylor a lot for advice given to me and i will take it in good favour and get to work putting their great ideas into action !!
Comment on the problems with this photo that need sorting, then i will post another one with a different (better) setup and see if i can distinguish them for good :-)

The discipline and training applied by decathletes have always been regarded by me as the ultimate in athletic dedication. Whilst it is of course always a huge honour for any decathlete to achieve the ultimate status of World Champion, I cannot help but regard all those who dedicate themselves to this most gruelling of athletic disciplines as Champions.

How to draw comics ! If you want to start drawing comics, I made this quick video to show you the steps I have taken to draw Page 1 of a comic book script I found online for the Green Arrow or known as The Arrow on tv. Sequential Art is very important to creating comics and is one of the most important aspects of creating comics. Here are just some basic tips and info that I hope will help you. I used a script from a comic called The Arrow Year One. You follow along and download the script here- ift.tt/1M8zI4i New website! ►www.taochris.com Subscribe ► www.youtube.com/channel/UCNzoqt7Hu4G5fxEajN0V-ug?view_as=... Green Arrow is a fictional superhero who appears in comic books published by DC Comics. Created by Morton Weisinger and designed by George Papp, he first appeared in More Fun Comics #73 in November 1941. His real name is Oliver Queen, a billionaire businessman and owner of Queen Industries, also a well-known celebrity in his locale of Star City.[2] Sometimes shown dressed like Robin Hood, Green Arrow is an archer who uses his skills to fight crime in his home cities of Star City and Seattle, as well as alongside his fellow superheroes as a member of the Justice League. Though much less frequently used in modern stories, he also deploys a range of trick arrows with various special functions, such as glue, explosive-tipped, grappling hook, flash grenade, tear gas and even kryptonite arrows for use in a range of special situations. At the time of his debut, Green Arrow functioned in many ways as an archery-themed analogue of the very popular Batman character, but writers at DC subsequently developed him into a voice of progressivism very much distinct in character from Batman. Here is some info on the character from the TV Series: Arrow is an American television series developed by writer/producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Andrew Kreisberg. It is based on the DC Comics character Green Arrow, a costumed crime-fighter created by Mort Weisinger and George Papp. It premiered in North America on The CW on October 10, 2012, with international broadcasting taking place in late 2012. Primarily filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, the series follows billionaire playboy Oliver Queen, portrayed by Stephen Amell, who, five years after being stranded on a hostile island, returns home to fight crime and corruption as a secret vigilante whose weapon of choice is a bow and arrow. Unlike in the comic books, Queen does not initially go by the alias "Green Arrow" until the fourth season. The series takes a realistic look at the Green Arrow character, as well as other characters from the DC Comics universe. Although Oliver Queen/Green Arrow had been featured in the television series Smallville from 2006 to 2011, the producers decided to start clean and find a new actor (Amell) to portray the character. Arrow focuses on the humanity of Oliver Queen, and how he was changed by time spent shipwrecked on an island. Most episodes have flashback scenes to the five years in which Oliver was missing. Create with passion! Thanks for watching! #HowToDrawComics #DrawingComics #ComicArt #TheArrow #Arrow #GreenArrow #DCcomics #ComicArtTutorial #Tutorial #Comics

The Harley Dome Cologne event was a friendly, professionally organized gathering of around 3,000 Harley-Davidson bikers. It took place at the scenic "Tanzbrunnen" open-air event area and boasted many bands of national and international reputation. Excellent custom bikes were there to be admired - in the exhibition area as well as among the ones brought along by the participants. A must-see for all of you next year. The plan is to organize this event for the next consecutive five years.

As a member of International Writers Workshop I was asked to write a short poem. I hadn't for years, but recently back from Iran I had word images in my mind. The result was selected for publication in "Beyond the Persimmon Tree" -- an International Writers' anthology.
So here it is for you:
Iran
Peter Sheppard
Pomegranates and pistachios
pollarded poplars and planes
the light of desert sky at night.
Sand, salt, and stone
earth, mud, and straw
gardens, roses, tendrils,
domes, arches, and minarets.
The incense of spices and colour sensations
paprika, turquoise, and lapis lazuli
bazaars, bartering, and time-layering.
Water, light, reflections, and mirrors
mountains, melons, and mullahs
calligraphy, camels, and caravanserai
almond orchards, and almond-eyes.
Yet an essence, a silken thread,
a patterned carpet;
an accumulation of civilisations.

An interesting shot of three former Go Ahead London B7TLs/Wright Gemini in the employ of CT Plus in Leeds. Interesting because the sequence of registrations - LF52ZRR, LF52ZPR and LF52ZSR - not consecutive but just one letter on each to differentiate.
The tomb has an amazing minimalist design for the first few layers, with that low band of tiles, and then soft yellow plaster straight up to the open sky 20 feet overhead. With the perfectly contrasting blue expanse above you, the effect is stunning.
Canon 5DM2 is used as a single camera. Sequential frames are used to get the spacing differential that can be substituted with a 30th of a second time difference, displayed as a space differential. Doesn't always work, but if you know how to move the camera smoothly, you get it 2 out of 3 times, at least as a usable 3D still! Granted, like this image, it might have to be a bit shallow!

Description by the author:
142 years after Eadweard Muybridge’s invention, the principle of chronophotography remains essential in understanding human movement. The image not only builds on a rich cultural heritage of sequence photographs, nowadays best known in extreme sports, but also illustrates cutting-edge scientific processes that reveal internal working principles of the human body. Shown is a gait trial using a unique moving fluoroscope that tracks and follows the movements of a study participant while taking a series of x-ray images to analyse bone kinematics. By merging a series of six photographs taken during the trial, the image not only shows but also follows the maxim of novelty through continuous reinterpretation and repurposing of methods that are more than a century old.
Comment of the Jury:
A playful mise en abyme of chronophotography, depicting by means of a digital collage the motion of an apparatus that is itself taking sequential X-ray images of the legs of a person walking. It brings into view the actual processes involved in a scientific experiment, rather than solely its results.
Beschreibung:
Description:

This is 3D that anybody can shoot with a single HDSLR in the video mode. I prefer to turn the camera sideways to get more coverage out of the spherical lens. 1920P on a 5DM2 or M3 trumps the horizontal 1080P resolution and vertical coverage on the sensor. Just take any two video frames that follow eachother. Make one the left & the other the right eye view. Level and paste them side by side in Photoshop. I inhance my images by shooting the video at 320th of a second, which freezes the detail MUCH better. I also use rare 33% anamorphic lenses to get a wider rotated frame, so that each tall video is 1400 pixels wide. This is SO
easy to do, I've decided to open a new GROUP, it will be called "GLASSLESS SEQUENTIAL FRAME 3D" and it will be posted today...Look for it, and if you like the effect, spread the word! In case you are unfamiliar with cross viewing, LEFT EYE LOOKS AT RIGHT IMAGE, and visa versa. You'll see 3 Images, the CENTERED ONE IS IN 3D.
You can block the other two with your hands, or use glasses with little blinders that I make for fans of the technique.
Two sequentially numbered "Duke of Wellington" £5 notes issued but caught ex-bank before going into general circulation. The top note carries the serial number 'A17 405612' in the top left hand corner, in the bottom right hand corner it's totally missing but has very lightly written in pencil 'A18 405618'! There is a diagonal crease and 'A1' has been printed diagonally on the reverse, suggesting this note fouled up during the numbering process.
The Bank of England issued these banknotes from 1971 to 1991. It features HM Elizabeth II on the face and the Duke of Wellington and a battle scene with a cannon and cavalry on the reverse.

These sequential doorways are on the roof of the Duomo in central Milan, Italy. This is a stunning cathedral in that you can actually access the roof, nearly all of it, on foot. The duomo is spectacular for many reasons, including the 2245 statues it contains, many on the roof.
These doorways, what I call in 3D the "portal effect", are allow passage through the supports buttressing the roof.
