Sent to Rhyl depot to replace Wright Pulsar 2918 is this awful scruffy Volvo thing from St Helens depot.
Some time ago I did my first swap first with Belle. Since she received it today I can finally post my picture ;) I had so much fun searching for girly pink ribbons (15 in total)!

Yes, this one sent me running. Because the image before this one was not quite as big of a splash and it got me wet! Yes, I had on the boots and the water breached them! So, when I saw the size of this one, and I got my quarter second exposure, I was out of there! And good reason, all that sand you see in the foreground was under water, knee deep when I looked back! To make more sense of it, there was a rock directly to the left of me that funneled all the water back to where I was standing. :) Gotta do what you gotta do for the shot then run like heck! Please enjoy!
For this image, I used the Tiffen ND 0.9 (3 stops) (ordered the B+W 6 stop, adding to the collection!)

This is the quilt I sent to uberstitch, Pam. She loves cross blocks and wonky houses so I incorporated some into this quilt of circles.
This was the sunrise from Glacier Point last Friday.
I really don't have too many words to say except this was the most intense sunrise I have ever witnessed in the Sierras. I drove up the day before with the purpose of spreading one of my best friend's ashes at Glacier Point. Thanks to Jeff Lewis, I also knew I was going to score a good sunrise on this trip. The colorful light from the sunrise was really slow getting going, and then it just exploded into something my camera sensor could not handle. This shot was taken after the mega burn. The sun's beams stretched into the sky as it rose directly behind Half Dome. It was just amazing, and I can't help but feel my friend, John, whose ashes I spread that morning had something to do with it.
